No, I think Colin meant the old crossover -- it wouldn't have anywhere near the capability that the JH3A has, it'd just make it back into a 'plain' JH13/JH16. Or at least, that's what I meant. It's the same drivers, so the only difference is, what is between the drivers and your source.

That's pretty sweet. I'm thinking they should charge you somewhere between $599 (difference between retail of JH16 straight and JH3a/JH16 combo) and $1099 (price of JH3a + rebuilding your JH16). Probably closer to $599.

Actually, I think there is, to attend canjam, but I thought it should be reinforced on the table signs. Not that anyone doesn't think they know everything about how to handle equipment. There's something wrong with this. If the sound gets better by pressing them in, if they sound muffled and congested normally, I would normally associate that with them not being in properly. Try this: try putting them in further, and pulling them out some, and wiggling them around. Have you ever had IEM's before? I'm thinking you don't have them all the way in. Think about when you got the impressions -- they basically should be in exactly like that.

Last couple things I've been listening to -- all superb, BTW: Jackie's Bag -- Jackie McLean It Might as Well Be Spring -- Ike Quebec ...and I think I mentioned these: The Three Sounds -- Bottoms Up! Dexter Gordon -- Dexter Calling ...probably going to switch over to ECM box next.

It's not just gain -- the main problem here is that you had the computer at 6% -- 100, 50, 25 are the three best choices, in order, anything else pretty much sucks, because it's not just a bit truncation (and that's assuming you can get it at exactly those values -- really should try to get it at 100%, that's the only one you can be sure of).

It sounds like he's pulling no punches in telling people that it's essentially a completely different IEM. I think if you want to use it without the JH3A, you should probably just get another pair.
