Smoke your pipe, that's a good euphemism. I'll have to remember that. But I did indeed smoke his pipe, as well as one of luvdunhill's later on. Good stuff!

I didn't get banned but I did get to experience the "shut the fuck up, I'm talking" mode, the "hold my bag" mode, the "you're cut off" mode, and the Godfather kissing mode firsthand. And holy shit, best fucking picture ever.

Don't forget to buy an ALO dock when you get back.
  6. I still want to know... as long as it doesn't involve pulling my pants down and bending over. We're talking about length, right?

Butbut.. you're the provider of the infamous Red Vodka, and KG had all those bottles of fine whisk(e)y, how could I resist

    Epic, Birgir. Just epic.
  9. Woot, yay for Steve and Shelly and possible third person! Some of my closest friends in high school were gay, one of them was leaning toward being bisexual, tons of people in music and the liberal arts (who I also know and/or are friends with) are gay, so knowing that a few more of my friends are gay isn't a big deal at all, and it's great that you've decided to come out. In fact, since I am around gay people so much of the time, I've definitely thought about whether I was many times. For now, I think I am straight because I still love the boobies but it is possible that will change later on. And as Shelly knows, there are always exceptions to the rule.
  10. Amazingly, the HE-5LE and HE-6 were the only gear I really wanted to try that I didn't get around to. That's not true, I didn't try the BHSE either. I was too distracted by the whisk(e)y. Looking forward to impressions/comparisons.
  11. No I didn't. I was definitely drunk more than half my total time there, including sleeping.
  12. At times I felt like it was like a slightly better HD600, but at times the classic bass reflex Beyer sound killed that for me. The treble amount overall is actually slightly under flat but I do hear a bit of a peak. The HD800 really is a finicky beast - out of the Luxman P1u it was pretty damn bright and thin but sounded the best I heard them out of Justin's GS-1. And I did hear them out of the Apex Peak Top Zenith.

Oh, that kind of tossing! My bad, my mind is still a bit in the gutter.
  14. Not gonna lie, the O2 Mk2 + WES blew a bit of donkey balls for me, and apparently the GES is even worse. I don't know how much of it was the Mk2 and how much of it was the WES though.
  15. x2 Thanks again. And if I am to get in a drinking contest with Tyll whenever we next meet, I better make damn sure to gain some weight just to be able to survive the experience. And yeah, that bottle Justin had was breakfast for at least a few of us. I completely forgot to check if there was damping on the LCD-2, I figured as such since it has somewhat rolled-off treble. But yeah, the impulse and CSD plots were amazing.

And one that says "I am DannyB" for me kthxbai. Great meet, thanks to all the folks that made this happen and it was great meeting you all. And drinking a little bit. And getting a little bit of cervical cancer.
  17. Canjam 2010 Meet impressions #1: Vicki and Colin got them Canjam 2010 Meet impressions #2: It was a good meet. I could see myself going to more of these.
  18. Finally more or less have the ESP10 in usable condition, with a good 7 hours spare to go before I leave for the airport. I started soldering and stuff very dizzy and unclear in the head, and now I am still both of those things and starving and my head hurts. And I somewhat burned my fingers.
  19. Cool! I should try Chrome out (again) sometime.
  20. Ears!
  21. Kat? I wore a santa hat everywhere and to everything for half a semester.
  22. I'm pretty sure the whole point of Chrome putting each tab as a separate process is so proper garbage collection can be done when you close the tab, but it's annoying as hell when you're trying to kill specific tabs that aren't working properly in Task Manager or whatever and all you see is a wall of chrome.exes. But yeah, memory leakage is basically when the programmers don't know how to properly garbage collect and so there's random crap that builds up in memory over time. For some reason Firefox easily goes above 500mb even with less than 10 tabs open for me, and it sucks processing power too.
  23. That's a good way of doing it, I should try that sometime. And the underdeveloped eyes are little desserts.
  24. I still have a large problem with both CPU and memory leakage on FF, is that also or more of a case with Chrome?
  25. I prefer them when they're still growing in the mother cow's womb. Just stick a straw in and enjoy.
