  1. Decided to sell my 116610LV (Green Sub) because I don’t wear it much. Got $1000 more than I paid for it brand new last year, which was nice! Thank you Rolex for restricting supply of all the steel sports models. Am using the funds for a 1969 yellow gold 1803 Day-Date for my wife’s 50th next year. Yup, birth year watch time, roast me ...
  2. Finance watch and drink wine while wearing it for extra pleasure, playa.
  3. * Narrator's voice * "It was not." (Actually I don't know. Maybe. You decide, it's yours.)
  4. Likes, disapprovingly.
  5. Happy Birthday! Thanks for keeping this place running!
  6. Good problem to have! Prefer the Medium, as it doesn't have a date window. It's only 35mm in diameter but almost 42mm lug to lug -- so shouldn't wear too petite? Do report back ...
  7. Happy Birthday!
  8. And their free company shuttle buses keep getting stoned by people who live off the taxes they pay and hate them for it. Who'd be a tech bro?
  9. The front fell off.
  10. Que cumplas muchos mas!
  11. No disagreement from me on the watch. Someday I hope to own an ALS, although probably not that one as it's well North of $100,000! Watchfinder the company was the biggest used/grey market watch dealer in the UK, with a couple of showrooms in London and elsewhere. Their main advantage was you could actually go in to see their watches in the metal and try them on, versus the Internet dealers where you were trying to judge condition etc. from photographs. Flip side was that they were considerably more expensive. Anyway, they were recently bought out by Richemont, one of the largest luxury conglomerates in the world and the owners of A. Lange & Söhne, Baume & Mercier, Cartier, IWC Schaffhausen, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Montblanc, Panerai, Piaget, Roger Dubuis and Vacheron Constantin. The deal was seen as an acknowledgement by the primary luxury watch manufacturers of the growing importance of the secondary market (and an intention to get a piece of it, thus gaining some control over the channel). It also opens up some interesting opportunities for cross-promotion, as (likely) seen above.
  12. Soundtrack of the future. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ...
  13. Know I said earlier that I didn't love Speedies, but that looks great. Enjoy!
  14. VW electric racer demolishes Pike's Peak hill climb record.
  15. You're making some excellent decisions of late.
  16. Nice! I had a 16710 GMT for a few years that started life with a black bezel, although I swapped in a Coke insert and wore it like that until it got flipped in some gear frenzy.
  17. So that's why we were delayed yesterday from NY and today again from BOS. Dude!
  18. You’ll both dance on my grave I’m sure. [emoji6]
  19. Speaking of win. Neptune Oyster in Boston — Island Creek & Beach Point with a good Chablis. Followed of course by the melted butter doused lobster roll. Oh lord give me calorie control, but not yet.
