Marc, I'm not sure.... it was just one of the things mentioned in the first few links I found related to Safari having blank tabs. Basically what happens is that I'll be in Safari and either by clicking a link or simply wanting to open a second tab I'll start looking at another page and then after even as short a time as a few seconds I'll close the second tab and when the browser returns to the first it'll be a black page. If I click the + symbol to add another tab I can see the live page that should be displayed but as soon as I choose it the content goes black again. Refreshing the page doesn't even help. It reloads everything but refuses to display the page. It only happened a few times during the first few days of use but has been pretty annoying lately. I just did a full power cycle so hopefully that fixes it and it was just a random bug.
-
A quick Google says it's probably just a lack of RAM/system resource issue. So, I guess I'll just try not to have many apps running concurrent with safari.

I'm having an issue in ios8 (on the iPad) where if I have multiple windows open in safari the first window goes blank and won't display the page. If I view all the tabs it still has the page three but when I select that tab it's just a plain white screen. Anyone else having this issue?

I would like to subscribe to your newsletter. In all seriousness, forget whether or not that's a good gain # for a beta²² but rather is that the amp that you really want to buy/build. At this point I've simply seen way too many of them fail that I'd want to know if they were modified in accordance with amb's recommendations before even considering the amplifier as a platform.

I am continuously amazed by your desire to profit. What is it that you have against losing money?

General software advice for Windows

Yeah, just look up 6 posts or so and you'll see Dan commenting on this and linking to an article. Hard to tell what the "truth" is at this point which is annoying. -

FYI - Dan pointed out in another thread (maybe this one?) MSE may no longer be a good option. I can't find the relevant link right now but google produced mixed results about whether or not MS is still updating MSE. For years it was the best, but I've been using other stuff now given the uncertainty. -
http://connect.garmin.com/activity/607297237 I wish I could figure out how to embed the small frame version of the activity but since my programming skills tap out at BASIC I've had zero luck.

I can only concur with the fact that it got cold in a hurry. I decided to get back into the whole cycling to work thing this week and it was a balmy 32 when I left the house this morning at 6am. Stupdily did not wear my booties and my feet were frozen after the ~20 mile trip in. This afternoon should be seriously nice with temps now in the mid 60s but I could do without the 12mph wind in my face that is predicted for the ride home. Oh well, you don't get a choice, right? And Jeff, I can't really imagine a bike lighter than my Calfee. It already feels so much lighter than the Roubaix and I really need to remember to have the shop throw it on the scale the next time I bring it in.

I am glad to say that not only did I get to go to Doug's, I got to go with this crew.

Nicely done! I got back out, still used the chesty to less than impressive levels of footage but explored some new-to-me sections of the area where I've been riding the MTB the last few years. There's just so much good stuff.

Happy Birthday!

Got out on the MTB again today and started playing with the chesty that I picked up this week. Didn't get the angle right the first time but the few stills that I accidentally took actually came out ok somehow.... It was a great day, temps in the mid 70s, not so many leaves on the ground as to completely obscure the trail. I'm going to head back out tomorrow afternoon which is supposed to provide the same weather all over again. I've already reconfigured the mount so with a little luck I'll have usable footage.

I can't imagine this happening if the phone is in your front pocket, sitting on it on the other hand would absolutely have the potential to generate enough force without pain.
-
The experiment shown is not entirely relevant to the phone in your pocket real world since your ass is going to impart a much more uniform pressure over a larger area than the test gig. Still, I guess it at least gives some comparative information, I just have no idea how useful it is.

They will not have devices with data plans for years. If I have my way.
-
I think the new pricing will allow both my wife and I to upgrade phones and pay less a month than we are currently. We will lose unlimited data but neither of us cracks a guig a month usually so it's not worth paying more for anymore.
-
I'm not seeing this plan anywhere on their website. Cheapest I can find is $90 a month for u/u/2gb. What am I missing?
-
At least there wasn't a stud there.

I'm hardly a rain god and (knock on wood) actually typically have pretty good luck with travel and weather. All indications are for a wet fall along the eastern seaboard so it's not all that shocking that things are unsettled here. When I left home yesterday it was gorgeous, 75 and sunny with a light breeze. Clearly the lesson is that I should have stayed home!
