Moisture is common in IEMs, luckily it doesn't seem to do nearly as much damage as the expansion of moisture in small spaces when freezing seems like it could. Maybe a little lab grade alcohol on the cleaning tool would do the trick to help get out moisture as well as helping to sterilize them in that environment. Just don't let it get on your skin in that cold environment unless you like your skin dry and cracked to the point of pain.

Congrats. I love the T1 with Lambdas, I bet it sounds great. Those are your first Stax? Your profile says you also have an O2 (well, of course you would, cause you should and will at some point).

The moisture getting into your phones from your ear canal might freeze and cause damage when not in your ears possibly?

I'm quickly pasting over my impressions from head-fi. Sorry about the lateness, I'm still being kept busy. The Qualia actually turned out to be my favorite phone of the meet. Out of the exemplar modded 2900 and Vicki's extreme, the Qualia sounded great, I was enamored with that rig. I like the R10, but not in love with it. It sounds great, but I get caught on that IMO it hides some details. I did some more testing with the HD800 mostly with an after-market cable. Out of 1117 (Alex's) Exemplar modded Denon 2900 and Luxman, I actually preferred the HD600. Its made songs sound fuller and the reverberation was there and more intoxicating. Out of the SP MPX3 using NightWoundsTime (Matt's) Denon turntable listening to Porcupine Tree (lightbulb sun album I think), the HD800 actually rocked, I mean rawked. Still not a phone I feel I "need-to-have", but it was awesome to see that it can get an attitude with the right equipment and I can see someone being really happy with that sound. Alex's HP series phones sounded great as well with the Luxman, I should have found more time with them. HE-5 also could change its face pretty well. On the WA6 with power supply (forget what DAC, maybe Audio Aero Prima?), I did not find it to be all that great in highs or lows. On the Cayin, it became very romantic with a smooth lush bassy sound. On the SPUD and Adcom with cetoole's discrete output stage, it was balanced, fast and clean sounding. I didn't fall in love with them, though they were not bad phones. Asr's Woo 22 setup with the AD2000 sounded good as well. I enjoyed listening to a few tracks, that is also a really nice looking amp. I loved Gene's (agile_one) K1000 with the Accuphase sounded really great. Every time I hear these phones at meets, regardless of setup, I have really liked them. I need to get a pair. I've heard Vicki's BHSE with the O2 before, they sound great. Interesting the difference that I and some others seemed to hear between the O2 mk1 and the O2 mk1BL. I assume it has to do with differences in the pad. I ended up preferring the brown O2 mk1 more, but I may be biased. The SR-404LE! Finally got to hear these, Steve (ASR) was nice enough to swing by with them. They are really good. I will not be trading my O2 mk1 for them, but I did enjoy listening to them. If I could get the LNS and 404LE at the same price, it would be a hard decision. I listened to many other phones, HF-2, Lambda pro, etc. It was a great meet, the people are what make it even more special then the phones. Thank you so much to Mike and to all of team SoFla that made my weekend. It was great seeing people again and meeting others for the first time and I hope to see you all again in the future.

I have put olives on the triple.fi before. Its a hell of a stretch, I used a leather punch to stretch them. I did end up ruining a few after a few changes. Its near impossible to over stretch these for the triple.fi, its an insanely tight fit, I had to cut them off sometimes to replace them. I also put on a Westone cable after filing down the pins. Sounded pretty good but had to adjust for phase. I think I'm keeping mine stock now and using the small rubber tips and complys.

Difference for me was that I regularly had aches from regular pillows before I used the memory foam pillow though. They aren't even expensive anymore. I now use a 2.5 inch thick memory foam bed pad on my mattress. It transformed a stiff cheap (free actually) mattress into my most comfortable bed I've had.

Mine were shipped Thursday before noon with two day shipping. They may have actually arrived, but I doubt it. I'll check tomorrow afternoon at which point they should be here. They would have been handy on the plane.

I'm back home safely. Big thanks to all the great people staying at the hotel, everyone was highly enjoyable to be around and it was great seeing/meeting with you all. Special thanks goes to Alex for the hotel room and picking up the tab, I owe you; to Jeff for buying pizza (I think Al also pitched in for a drunken pizza run [literally]; to Colin for the loan to get my truck out of parking tonight, that was a real lifesaver (money sent BTW); and last, but not least, Mike for providing the enormous preparation and top notch beverage (Matt too, another big thanks). I'm really sorry if I left out anyone. I'll save my impressions for after I catch up on my rest, for right now, suffice it to say that it was a spectacular meet.

I don't think you can wash the foam, you can wash the outside cover of the pillow though. It usually unzips.

I have a few and brought one to the meet, I don't like sleeping wihout it.
