Thanks, I didn't know they were going that expensive. I have a pair in very good condition, not recabled. I find them in the bright side of things, it'd be interesting to see them measured. IMO the brightness comes more from some delayed energy in the treble than from a response peak. With good ancillaries and recordings they sound pretty good and enjoyable. For my taste, which is probably defective

Yeah, very few people know that for a good bunch of years the movement into the Rolex Daytona was a Zenith El Primero, until Zenith decided to keep their movements for their own use. Great watches, but liking their designs or not is very personal, as Ken says.

I'm partial to El Primero, I love their movement, but aesthetically kind of like the Carrera better.
