  1. As the season is progressing, it'd be cheaper for Ferrari to fire Massa and hiring a decent driver, than keeping him summing 0 points every race. This time he didn't total the car
  2. I beg to differ a bit with Nebby. I tried the combo when I received the PP and while "powerful enough" the sound to me ears was more in the cold and sterile side of things than when using the Luxman P-1 or the Gilmore Reference. Still a listenable combination. I didn't try both using a premium source though, just the iTouch with a LOD playing ALAC files, so this comment should be taken with a grain of salt, specially if Nebby used a high quality source. My intention was just to assess if the PP-HD800 could be a good portable system, so the source had to be the iTouch.
  3. Another entertaining race. Not that I liked the final result, but it could have been way worse.
  4. Beautiful, nice present!
  5. Sounds good, Brent. It's a pity you can't get an image from your eardrum to look at it. New iPhone gadget, anyone?
  6. Happy Birthday matey!!!! I'll toast to yours later.
  7. Happy Birthday!!!
  8. I definitely don't need more amps nor cans
  9. Wondering if trying this at work too
  10. Wow, she's fast. I have some more headroom, specially if she likes the music.
  11. Until the neighbors complain or the wife asks for a break. Any of both happens in a few minutes, so no danger for the ears.
  12. No it's not, but we have loudspeakers
  13. I have a similar condition, Jacob. I've noticed that cans having "heavy" bass are more prone to excite the tinnitus. The HD 800 aren't one of them. Just use lower listening levels and you should be fine. Leave it more at 80dB. Of course not using the cans at all is safer
  14. The pirate mother lode.
  15. Define "not superloud". Safe levels are in the 80-85 dB for listening sessions of more than 4 hours. This assuming occasional peaks well under 95-100dB. The good ting about these loudness wars and compressed music is that you don't have to worry about the peaks anymore
  16. Or just lowering your listening levels a bit.
  17. Mal, in Spanish, actually translates more as Evil than Bad. Has anyone listened to the thing or even read a mildly reliable comment? The idea of having an amp for every headphone sounds great to me, but I thought it wouldn't be possible unless you used trafos on one of the output types. Or on both as Birgir suggests. Interesting nonetheless, unsure this is a decent implementation.
  18. I wish you had a happy Birthday
  19. Pretty big stone, it's not surprising you were in such pain. Nate, not only drinking a lot of water, also some diet measures could be advisable depending on the stone composition. Take care
  20. Great news, Nate. it was about time! Now be careful not to grow more of those.
  21. With one of these

    Wow, that's the awsum!
  23. Congratulations!!!
  24. Looks like baby shummy doesn't have many fans around here
  25. Incredible race. I still don't get why they needed the safety car after "that" breakdown, nor why it took that long to get it off the track. Amazing race nonetheless.
