According to the description it was recorded live, but I might be wrong, haven't received it yet, nor listened to the leak.

My condolences A-man, best wishes for you and your family.- Happy birthday Brent!
¡¡¡Feliz Cumpleaños y un fuerte abrazo!!! Have a great one- Speaker Porn
Those AC-1 seem more manageable, still too big for these small-yet-expensive Spanish flats. If they moved you that much they must be worth the trip to listen, plus free Scotch never damaged anyone- The Headcase Stax thread
The "GS-X equivalent" I'm speaking of isn't DIY, it's a Headamp's Gilmore Reference, which is the same balanced circuit of the GS-X but with some differences in components and such. Justin may say way better. If you're referring to the B22, then yes, however it's a well known circuit which a lot of people builds on kit boards using the same sourced parts. If made right, should sound very much the same I guess. However my experience is very limited, I've only listened to mine and a friend's one, made by a professional builder. I think they sound quite similar, being the differences more attributable to the source used than anything else. Both, the B22 and the GS are quite good showing upstream components differences, and can drive about anything.- Happy 25th birthday jinp6301!
Happy Birthday- Happy birthday raffy!

Sorry for the wrong judge decision . The speakers look OK, I wonder how they sound, never listened to polygonal horns.- The Headcase Stax thread
Not either here. In fact I think it's a tad bit brighter than the GS-X equivalent I have.- Happy birthday robm321!
Happy Birthday!!!- The analog thread.
If the clock-anticlock is seen from the front side, it's Azimuth, but in my modest experience this doesn't have much effect on tonal balance, it's more on channel balance, as the bias (antiskating) setting. Anyway, glad you got it fixed- The analog thread.
That must be exerting some vigorous force on it. Not sure I'd try that on my arm. Fortunately it's not needed- The analog thread.
Azimuth, as in lateral needle tilt, can't be changed on the AceSpace unless you use rings, spacers or similar tricks. My guess is that he changed VTA.- What are you listening to Part the Third
^ Listened to it this afternoon. An interesting style shift. Looking forward for the album release, I backed the new project too- Donna Summer 1948-2012
RIP Donna, thanks for the great adolescence times supplied.- The analog thread.
Have you checked VTA? Seems one of the few things which may change. If the screws holding the arm's height are a bit loose, VTA might have changed. The other dreadful chance is that the cleaning lady has "worked" on the cart. BTW, the record you listened was one you know well and you're sure wasn't sibilant before? Maybe listening to other LPs you don't find it that sibilant.- Happy Birthday Pars!

This. Plus the sound is relaxed, warm and natural. I really don't care "modern IEM" can do things better, which they do, the W4 are far more accomplished on a few features, though I know nothing that beats the X10 for comfort and a relaxed listening experience of any kind of music you wish to throw at it.- Your recent music purchases
Preordered the last Regina Spektor's live recording, which hopefully will come with the last Melody Gardot's, which preordered a few weeks ago. Also a bunch of Phineas Newborn Jr and Hampton Hawes albums that were missing in my collection.- Portable headphone angst
