Looks like the CO2 it is. I don't need a switcher and doesn't appear anything is to be gained by moving up in price.

Looks like a good thread to piggyback on. I'm considering a new CDP with a coaxial input to use the d/a converter. This would come from the mini toslink connection. Lot's of converters out there: Monoprice $12 SIIG $25 M-Audio CO2 $48 Hosa $85 Pretty obvious the build quality is better on the Hosa and the M-Audio appears to also be well built. But does it matter? I'm thinking it's S/PDIF signal whether toslink optical or coaxial RCA. Any reason to spend more?

Good advice. Not much if any love here for your headphones. Much easier to get the kind of advice you're looking for over there.

Just got back home. Roads were great and I missed bad weather in both directions. Other than the sidecar, enjoyed everything that I sampled. Didn't think I was too drunk but sound asleep about 10 minutes after getting back to the motel. The chili was some of the best I've ever had. Good food, new friends and good times. Perfect

I have to admit I really don't get excited about much anymore. I am excited about this get together. I'm actually in a state of anticipation. My son-in-laws will be traveling with me but not attending. Neither one gets it. They can go enjoy the Chicago metro area and I'm going to have a great time @ ChiLiquify. Can't wait.

Have to hope the bullies get theirs. Reminds of my two daughters. They're about 5 years apart and the youngest one got pushed down and beat up by an older neighbor boy on the way home from school. My oldest daughter waited for him the next day and gave him a taste of his own medicine. He wouldn't come near either of them for the remainder of grade school.

If I remember the 580 sound correctly, not like the 650 at all. Just the opposite here. Didn't care for the 580, like the 650. I couldn't tell the difference between the 580 & 600.

Ran RCA line from one end of the living room to the other, finally connecting my d/a converter to the home theater amplifier. Discovered I have no hot water. Couldn't get the pilot light to fire up and stay lit. Called my plumber, who stopped by to look at it. Probably a thermocouple. At least there won't be a charge for today's visit. He'll come back tomorrow to repair or replace. Kids over for dinner and grand kids watched The Tale of Despereaux after wearing themselves out playing Wii.
