  1. Yew can dew eet Doug!
  2. Oh damn, that is awesome! Nice boards.
  3. It certainly does and that song struck a particularly fond chord from many a dorm party. They were wunderbar!
  4. I love the CD3000 with the P1 and the Woo 5/6. It also sounded great with my old MPX3. I am not super familiar with the P200 but I was not impressed from a quick listen and others have even said it seems flimsy (compared to the P1 an Abrams tank might seem flimsy though). Anyway, I could try it with the FET-A because I don't have any recollection of pairing them. I really like that amp and had the same thought before Ric mentioned it because of your desire for a budget amp. I'll let you know.
  5. Seeing that album title immediately made me think of Tenpole Tudor's Wunderbar so I gotta play it: Tenpole Tudor -- Wunderbar: Stiff Records Singles Collection And remember:
  6. Well put, Nate. And this is a particularly nice KGSS to boot.
  7. Steve Earle -- Townes I really dig this record.
  8. Entrails interior ftw! That is awesome but the light saber zipper thing looks like a plush dildo.
  9. Peter, Bjorn & John -- Rhapsody Originals Tift Merritt -- Home Is Loud
  10. That was supposed to be "now that you have tamed her..." but you got the gist. You'll regret selling the DX in favor a 717. Believe that.
  11. I fucking hate XP

    DEXTER

There have been some slow moments but lots of shit is coming together and the last two episodes have been tension-filled and the last two of the season should be fun times.
  13. I am bringing my new TTVJ Portable Amp, Pico, SR-71, iMod, and maybe a pair of cans other than my JH|13s.
  14. Don't do it Dinny! The DX is home, not that you have tamed her slutty behavior!
  15. Beck -- Mutations
  16. From wikipedia: The trend of increasing loudness as shown by waveform images of the same song mastered on CD four times since 1983.
  17. Mike said he would pick up Brent and me on Thursday evening, and I said Brent can stay in my room that night, but is Brent not arriving until Friday now?
  18. Those are some skeptical mother-fucking elves right there.
  19. elves? That is some spell checker you got there.
  20. The little Monkey beat me to it! Have a great one Gene, and see you Friday for a proper toast in your honor. Cheers!
  21. Yes, JP, Filburt and I put them through some paces today. They were both quite good, but the win goes to the Amarra 4. Probably closer than I expected, which means the ULN-2 was closer than I thought it would be. We listened to 16/44 and 24/96 files, and had 6 songs that we intended to compare but I think we did more like 3-4. I felt the 4 was better in terms of bass tone and definition and quantity, there is more weight to the sound (maybe the same thing), the image is a more compact and flatter on the ULN-2 and the definition is a little better with the 4. We did have some issues in trying to switch back and forth using one Firewire connection and changing settings and such, but we were ultimately able to get a sense of it and I don't think the technical glitches really prevented us from hearing the units. We also tried Filburt's modded Assemblage DAC and it sounded very good as well. The bass is very strong and it sounded very good overall both through Filburt's Headamp Dynalo and through my speakers. Great DAC for the money.
  22. Masada -- Masada Guitars
  23. Sorry about the toe, Mike. You know the only thing that makes a banged up big toe better, of course, is plenty of pricey whisk[e]y, so I hope you took care of yourself properly. Woke up in Mayberry, did a bit more wisteria maintenance, picked some persimmons for a neighbor, drove to SF and met JP and Filburt at my house for a ULN-2 vs. Amarra 4 comparo, with a little Filburt modded Assemblage DAC thrown in for good measure. After some hard work comparing those and fighting the lock-ups caused by switching firewire cables and software settings, and such, we headed to Toronado for some beer, pizza and/or sausages. The Limb & Life on tap was quite nice, and the Life & Limb tastes quite similar to the bottle incarnation. Capped off the day by making dinner for the family and now chilling with some tunes. Good end to the long weekend. Now toes were injured in the making of this day.
  24. Wouldn't miss it Dom.
  25. Hope it was good and boring right to the end Haj! Many happy returns. Cheers!
