    Beyer T1

I am not part of your "all" so maybe you shouldn't speak for me. Some people did think the HD800 wasn't innovative, but I think they are wrong in terms of the application and the execution and related technologies. Reading the related Senn patents would lead to the same conclusion for some but not all people on this forum. On the other hand, based not on specific knowledge of the T1 but only on repeated exposure to shitty Beyer headphones, I have concluded that these headphones aren't worth their price or otherwise "special" in any way. I realize I could be proven wrong, but I doubt it.
  2. Alela Diane -- To Be Still
  3. Japandroids -- Post-Nothing
  4. Literally the only music that would console our then-infant daughter for a substantial period was Esquivel's Space Age Bachelor Pad Music. It was funny for awhile and then I couldn't barely stand to hear that disc any more.
  5. Really too bad truth in advertising laws don't require those to be called "Turd Smugglers" or similar.
  6. Any real Kinks fan will love that Choral Collection, even though as one review pointed out it should have been kalled the Kinks Khoral Kollection to honor tradition. Anyway, the Rockhopper Twitter feed prompted this one: Aimee Mann -- One More Drifter in the Snow
  7. Fred was overcooked when he wrote that.
  8. Ray Davies -- The Kinks Choral Collection
  9. Congrats on the great-looking new site, Stephen, and best of luck with the new business model. It seems like the right choice and gives you a lot more control over work flow, etc. Plus, now I know that you have 14 gadgets and want 3 more gadgets! Cheers.
  10. It's so nice when things work out peacefully and without the need for shovels.
  11. Having a ham & cheese buns from a Chinese bakery. Pretty bland and the girl at the counter did not inspire any fantasies at all.
  12. Sad situation, Miguel. How did it get fried?
  13. Echo and the Bunnymen -- The Fountain
  14. Or an anchor for his wee skiff Doug told me he had, or was that spliff?
  15. I hate Best Buy. You made the right choice by leaving and enjoying wine and chili!
  16. First time listening, as far as I can recall. It is great so far.
  17. Wayne Shorter -- The Soothsayer
  18. While I was out of the office yesterday, Elephas's package arrived from Taiwan. It seemed awfully bulky in a padded envelope and I wondered if it was a tall stack of CDs. He didn't wait to open his package, so why should I? Instead of only being a stack of CDs, it was a "Taiwan-style" headphone case with more goodies inside! I love the similar case I already have and use it all the time. I think I got that from an Elephas give-away years ago, which is kind of ironic. Now the HF-1 and HF-2 don't have to fight for rights to the case and each can sit happily in its own. Also inside the case was a baggie of the RCA caps that Michael loves so much, so I can tweak a little Elephas-style. Oh, yeah, the music. I am currently listening to Musik von einem anderen Stern, which is a sampler CD from Manger with very cool recordings from lots of genres and spoken voice in German (one of my favorite sounding languages). Then there are two SACDs, one is the 30th Anniversary Sampler from Opus 3 Records and the other is Master Music's Female Audiophile collection. Very nice stuff all around, and very generous of you Michael. Thanks!
  19. Some CDs from Posty.
  20. And school marm Vicki sure seems to be noticing a whole lot more than she admitted in that other thread.
  21. I am a sucker for fresh, warm donuts and although you disagree with me, I liked those better than the KKs. And screw you breakfast place, indeed!
  22. Now I want a bag of those donuts you reviewed at DanJam. I only got one part of one donut or something because they disappeared in record time whenever a bag appeared.
  23. Dinny, you PM'd me in October asking me about how I liked my Model 4 so maybe your cold has gone to your head. I use breakout cables with mine, and the analog output is all 8 channels. I can play simultaneously on 4 amps that way. I have a 2-channel breakout cable for the output also, but I usually use the big dog for more flexibility. The digital breakout cable is 2 AES/EBU out and 2 in (also total of 8 channels). The analog in is a simple 2-channel L/R pair, but that could be moar if I had other analog sources and wanted the Model 4 to be the preamp.
