July 17, 201213 yr RIP. Listening to Made In Japan right now and fuck it sounds good. Lord's playing on Child In Time is so good.
July 17, 201213 yr Seriously. You wouldn't know it from listening to my music, but he was an enormous influence on my early playing. Tracks like "Child in Time", "Lazy" where he went crazy on the drawbars, and "April" is one of my favourite rock-meets-classical pieces ever. Gonna go play "Before I Forget" in memorium.
July 17, 201213 yr I saw Deep Purple in 1985 in Mannheim Germany when I was in the Army. What a great show. RIP Jon Lord.
