July 9, 201313 yr comment_587601 EDIT: Nevermind, it's more for me who's going to be using a different attenuator. Edited July 9, 201313 yr by RiStaR Report
July 13, 201313 yr Author comment_588575 No biggie. What on earth are you going to do with 6 KSA5? I will close this GB on Thursday next week and send out the order to get the quote. Report
July 13, 201313 yr comment_588617 No biggie. What on earth are you going to do with 6 KSA5? spread the love. Report
July 13, 201313 yr comment_588639 Thanks for doing this Lil Knight. Updated the spreadsheet with what I want. Report
July 14, 201313 yr comment_588656 Hope you don't mind new members joining up. I'm in for one Dynahi onboard. Report
July 14, 201313 yr comment_588705 Oh woowKGSSHV I'm going to have to join in on this Maybe the KSA5 too, I liked the KSA50, so the KSA5 could be interesting, besides it could always sit under the pc's desk to keep my feet warm in winter Report
July 15, 201313 yr comment_588861 then you want a pair for balanced, one for each foot. Hmmm Balanced foot warmers. I suppose I could always use a pot for the bias.... Then I'll have temp control... next stage ... remote control for temp control... Who said DIY is excessive? Report
July 15, 201313 yr Author comment_588865 Looks like I will include the KGSSHV mini PSU for the Megatron. So each set of Megatron includes 1x amp board + 1x KGSSHV mini PSU. I am also working on something very similar to the Sigma22, will include that with the Dynahi, if you want. Or, AMB shop is the way to go. Report
July 15, 201313 yr comment_588867 Tran, In light of the clarification that the KGSShv mini PSU will be used for the Megatron, I have removed my remarks in the remarks column accordingly to avoid any confusion. Thanks for everything Tran. Report
July 15, 201313 yr comment_588869 I know that Glassjar sells Sigma kits, but lately there were reports of problems with communication. In any case- worth checking out! Report
July 15, 201313 yr comment_588870 Many thanks Tran for another group buy. Edited November 11, 201510 yr by JoaMat Report
July 15, 201313 yr Author comment_588871 I know that Glassjar sells Sigma kits, but lately there were reports of problems with communication. In any case- worth checking out! Yeah, indeed. Their communication is quite arbitrary. Recently I had to wait one week to get their response for a single transformer. Most of the S22 parts can be ordered from Mouser though. It's great to see the big interests in the Megarton. I built a Megatron some time ago and current draw was about 122mA for the 500V sections and 11 mA for 300V section. If I remember correct the current limit for KGSSHV PSU is about 90 mA. Maybe one mini PSU won't be sufficient for the Megatron, unless some modification. Many thanks Tran for another group buy. Thanks for the heads-up, Joachim. Hopefully Dr Gilmore will chime in about this. Report
July 15, 201313 yr comment_588872 the 300v is made from the 500v with a resistor, or a separate supply. I don't remember about the current limit at the moment, will have to look that up later. Report
July 18, 201313 yr comment_589360 Hi Can you put me down for a krell board? Which PSU do you guys recommend? Cheers John Report
July 18, 201313 yr comment_589377 Is the new dynalo board gonna make it into this group buy? No but the Squarewave would be a good alternative. Report
July 19, 201313 yr Author comment_589485 I will stretch the GB a bit, maybe 2-3 days, for further testing of the new mini KGSSHV onboard. Hope you guys don't mind this. Report
July 19, 201313 yr comment_589486 I don't remember about the current limit at the moment, will have to look that up later. Did we figure out if the new mini PSU was gonna work? Report
July 19, 201313 yr comment_589521 No worries, Lil Knight. I don't exactly have lots of free time to build amps right now. Report
July 19, 201313 yr comment_589533 No problems Tran and thanks for being so deliberate with the whole group buy Report
