Lots of people who post on this site are not welcome on that site or at the meetings, is my understanding.

I don't know that that's still true. 

 

I do know that I've been done there for a long time.  And I don't particularly think it's appropriate to use the canjam name willy nilly

Yeah, didn't the Florida crew coin that name when it was still actually CanJam, as in user driven? I think HF should be paying them royalties for its (mis)use

I understand, I was also a member of head-fi a while ago, but this is a headphone convention, Yes it is organised by the head-fi guys but should be a good one, it is CanJam, they obviously have the permission to use that name

I don't know if they ever asked if they could use it or not. Maybe Jude felt that since the real CanJams were head-fi supported events, that he automatically owned the name...  still funny that the last one (CanJam Chicago 2010) was run entirely by HeadCasers

And the name was created by head-casers.

I'll likely go if I'm in London at the time and not busy though.

Yeah it seems to all be head-fiers going, but I'll be there with Polar Audio displaying Beyerdynamic. I run my little review site on the side of work so it'll be good to make more contacts on the side.

 

Would be nice to meet some of you though if you're going. I'll be staying at the hotel on the Friday and Saturday night too.

Not bringing gear, as I don't have anything particularly distinctive.

I'll be at the Beyerdynamic table, if you want to come say hi, might have a few bits of gear in my bag, Oppo PM-3, Oppo HA-2, maybe some German Maestro's.
