February 24, 20206 yr I hate to post about headphones on a booze and light banter site, but these might actually be interesting (T+A is a very German, engineering-driven audio concern) and are reassuringly expensive at $6400. The DAC/amp is apparently $8900. https://www.ta-hifi.de/en/musicreengineered-solitaire/
February 24, 20206 yr On assumes that they used Urban Dictionary before choosing their company name? On another front, headphones like these make me miss Tyll all the more.
February 24, 20206 yr Agree with JP that the amp/DAC is gorgeous. I've liked the look of T + A for awhile, but haven't heard any of this gear.

February 24, 20206 yr "T+A stands for “theory and application” in all areas of audio technology."Yah. Right.
February 24, 20206 yr This looks awesome. Too rich for my blood, but I bet the combination sounds incredible. I have a pair of T+A Criterion floor standing speakers, and they are a great sounding pair. This company knows what they are doing.
February 26, 20206 yr The red interior of the cups is a solid choice. Looking forward to maybe checking out T+A in the future.
February 27, 20206 yr Wow, their stuff looks amazing! Can’t wait to check them out the next time I’m in Germany (they also seem to have a dealer outside of Austin).
February 27, 20206 yr Looks like they have copied a few ideas from Audio-Technica AtH-HA5050H DAC/amp. Impedance selection as well as VU meters. https://www.audio-technica.com/cms/accessories/bd963a3646968df5/index.html
February 28, 20206 yr I was more reminded of the spL Phonitor, just with more elegant switches: https://spl.audio/professional-fidelity/phonitor-xe/?lang=en Edited February 28, 20206 yr by jpelg
March 26, 20206 yr I have had the PA 3000HV amp and CD/SACD /DAC PDP3000HV for a few years now, build quality is top notch.
