April 18, 201016 yr Author Dusty approved?Maybe. Will purchase and decide. Do dig the technology behind it. Was this posted (for Dusty) before?I don't know if it's been posted in this thread, but it's on my wishlist, and I've even seen it in person. Again, dig the technology behind Casio's Eco-Drive watches -- solar-power reinforces a standard winding watch movement. Just haven't gotten around to purchasing it yet.Blacker than black? Vestal ZR3008 Watch - The Coolest Watches from Watchismo.comI have since bought this watch. It is the blackest watch I have ever seen. Nixon has also again catered to me and made an (otherwise) all-black watch with purple numerals. I bought the first model off the machine line. I have a bit of a watch problem. I have already spent more money whimsically buying watches than I would consider spending on headphones. I have no idea what is wrong with me. The current "thing" is mother-of-pearl. And I have long since moved past all-black or largely black watches -- I have a couple of very shiny silvertone watches (one with a "salmon" face which is just outlandishly gorgeous, and several other dyed-MOP dials), and have bought almost the entire series of Invicta Lupah Revo's. Any suggestions on how to curtail said spending and/or how to obtain large sums of money by endangering my life for entertainment purposes would be greatly appreciated. April 19, 201016 yr Curse you, Dusty! My lust for watches has grown quite a bit because of you, and I have absolutely no use for one. Was looking for a pocketwatch for awhile but then realized my cell phone already has that purpose covered. Though it certainly isn't as badass as said pocketwatch.
April 19, 201016 yr I can't really wear wrist watches because I found it made my wrist thinner on the side I was wearing them, which was the wrong side anyway. I'm left handed and wore them.. on my left wrist. Also, I'd just end up taking them off and putting them back on again for any playing I'd have to do, then get too lazy and just not put them back on. Which is what I've done. Also, pocketwatches are for badassness.
April 19, 201016 yr I advise you to stay away from the WatchUSeek forums... Watchuseek, world's largest & highest trafficked Watch Forum site
April 19, 201016 yr Author I just bought another one. I can't really wear wrist watches because I found it made my wrist thinner on the side I was wearing them...lolwut? Why would they make your wrist thinner? Tiger (before he was infamous, when he was just famous) worked with Tag to design a special low-profile watch that was designed not to throw off his swing. It's only US$1200.
April 19, 201016 yr Hmm, I never wear watches when I'm playing golf because the slight weight difference between not having it on (which is how I always practiced) vs having it on screwed up my swing.
April 19, 201016 yr I dont know if I would spend $1200 to "fix" that problem though also the watch you bought looks bad ass
April 19, 201016 yr I just bought another one. Nice. Why would they make your wrist thinner? Osteoporosis maybe? I noticed I haven't been bleeding out the for years.
April 19, 201016 yr Author Okay, coolest thing ever. It even has a date. See the little "V" thingy? That's the Vestal watch logo. It's also the date. They had the movement modified so that all it shows is black. Okay, no, not really. Oh, and Dinny, I forgot to mention -- I saw your blue-on-black Bell & Ross "instrument" at Torneau in person.
April 19, 201016 yr I can't really wear wrist watches because I found it made my wrist thinner on the side I was wearing them... Actually this happened to me as well when I used to wear a watch year round. It's not really an issue since the fat around the muscle does regenerate. I just need to stop buying audio gear and music then I'll but a sufficiently nice watch.
April 19, 201016 yr Dusty, I saw it, too. And you were right; it's important to see just how big those things are in person. I could never get away with wearing it. So I got something smaller. Nice watch, though.
April 20, 201016 yr I can't really wear wrist watches because I found it made my wrist thinner on the side I was wearing them Just masturbate more with that hand, should build the wrist up.
April 20, 201016 yr Author Dusty, I saw it, too. And you were right; it's important to see just how big those things are in person. I could never get away with wearing it. So I got something smaller. Nice watch, though.Well, they have three different sizes; the one I saw was not imposing at all.
April 20, 201016 yr http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwfkDZSLPt8&feature=player_embeddedDevon Works I think it's pretty cool but not 15k cool
April 20, 201016 yr Author Oh, I would even go so far as to say that it's at least 10K cool...it's just too bad I don't have 10k.
April 20, 201016 yr To be honest I'm lucky it's that expensive if it was in the sub 5k range I think I may be having stupid stupid thoughts...
April 25, 201016 yr Do you ever find something you just NEED to own? I just did. Amazon.com: Welder Men's K29-8001 K29 Triple Time-Zone Chronograph Black Ion-Plated Stainless Steel Watch: Watches **BRENT**
April 25, 201016 yr Author I saw that and passed on it -- on the one hand, it seems ginormous, but it's "only" 53mm (comparable to the Venom, but not as tall), but the thing I have absolutely no need for is three fucking movements with separate crowns. That said, if I win the lottery, then I'd get it anyway.
May 25, 201016 yr Author Thanks for bumping this thread. I found my watch, the Oris Oscar Peterson Jazz Series: Yes, those are meant to look like keyboard keys around the outer rim. Yes, that is meant to look like a record groove towards the center. So 'me', it hurts. Aren't Bell & Ross way overpriced?C'mon, man, that's a skull. Skulls are the shit. Plus, the hands look like a sword and dagger. Coolest fucking watch evar.
