It seems like you're eating pretty well out in the wilds, John!  If you are going to Lake Louise, I hope you make it up to the Tea House because it is pretty amazing up there.  Plus there are snacks for your efforts!

Yes, it's the compromise Anne makes with me. I go out in nature in the daytime if we can have a nice dinner and a place with running water at night! :) We did get to Lake Louise today, and even made it out to the Tea House with two 8 year olds! Just stunningly beautiful, isn't it? Hopefully some pics later. I think I even smiled! :)

If your travels take you two provinces east, we'd be happy to host you and your family, John.  We have space.  Not much else, but lots of space.  And cattle.

Thanks, Iain! We're slowly making our way west, but nice to know we have friends (kind of) nearby! :)

I expect you'll be taking in some of the Okanagan vinyards?  Check this one out, if you can:  http://www.nkmipcellars.com/  I've never been there, but I love their merlot.

I don't blame you for choosing the BC wines over the Manitoba mosquitoes.  :)

Haven't seen that vineyard. Will have to keep a lookout. :(

Tonight, prime rib with some giant muffin thing on top. post-1036-13754945794596_thumb.jpg.

About to make a selection from the "Token of appreciation" Joanne bought back from the Ladies of Book Club. Apparently my "services rendered" ;) are appreciated.
