July 13, 201510 yr Earlier I had barbecued oysters (chorizo, Kilpatrick bacon and Rockefeller) and some of a tri-tip sandwich at the Marshal Store. Yum
July 13, 201510 yr The Marshal Store is on the shore of Tomales Bay and has a wood fired bbq for oysters, fish and meats. Nice big and fat Tomales Bay oysters are barbecued in the Shell and sauced in a variety of ways. Chorizo and chorizo butter is my favorite, but Rockefeller with spinach, cheese and bread crumbs was very close today. The bacon & worchestershire sauce was tasty but not quite as excellent. They also have smaller raw oysters on the half shell in the traditional manner but I didn't get any this time. They are all served with a couple chunks of grilled sourdough garlic bread. We went during MOA so many others got to enjoy these delights and can speak up. Edited July 13, 201510 yr by Voltron
July 13, 201510 yr Chorizo and chorizo butter is my favorite I absolutely LOATHE oysters and even I could eat these every single day.
July 13, 201510 yr Well, I love oysters and the raw and Rockies I had were super tasty! Pretty decent Minion sauce for half shells. What I really dig is the setting. Sitting by the side of a windy road with the bay on the other side and the gulls yakking above. What an awesome spot to spend time with 10 or 20 of your favorite friends! July 16, 201510 yr Debbie's take on chicken piccata, with white wine, quartered artichoke hearts and capers. The green beans were less than flavorful however. Not her fault, it was crappy supermarket stuff. We'll get local soon. But hey, they look good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
