December 22, 200817 yr I like Daft Punk. I also like Ratatat's classics album and Boys Noize. Sorry if that irritates your skin.
December 22, 200817 yr Came back home today and found my amazon sent package. I put it under the tree. Looking forward to finding out whats in it.

December 22, 200817 yr Two sides of the same coin: Ha ha I fucked your mom and Ha ha, you fucked my mom! Diverging tastes.
December 22, 200817 yr Nothing in return, insisted! If you absolutely can't shake the compulsion, then pay it forward I got in the habit of sending people CDs from amazon while doing my shopping for exchange partners and just went with it - I have a passion for sharing the music I love Ok then, I went ahead and paid it forward today to two fine Head-Casers who will each receive 1 CD that I've selected for them (so I hope they like them, it was a bit of a gamble). 1 of the HC-ers is Iron_Dreamer, was tricky picking something out for him without asking him any questions that would've given it away...
December 23, 200817 yr Listening to the first of two cd's received from Nate. First up is Rykarda Parasol to be followed by Who Killed Amanda Palmer. Thanks!

December 23, 200817 yr I received Tepid Peppermint Wonderland: A Retrospective by the Brian Jonestown Massacre from diebenkorn. Really cool DOUBLE CD! And what's even cooler is that diebenkorn and I got to meet at the NYC Meet and discuss tunes and gear and such. THANKS JUDD!

Peter is easy. He likes slow tone poems on period instruments.
December 23, 200817 yr Peter is easy. He likes slow tone poems on period instruments. Actually I don't think he would've minded that either. His Last.fm library is the craziest thing I've ever seen - tons of metal music, and then out of nowhere, some film soundtrack or classical composer. Talk about polar opposites!
December 25, 200817 yr To all a Merry Christmas! * /.\ /'..'\ /'.'..'\ /..'.'..'\ /'..'...'..\ "'""""/'..''..'..'..\""'"'" ^^^[_]^^^
December 25, 200817 yr Got these from JBLoud! The Wendy Sutter disc was on my wish list and the Adele was a surprise pick so I look forward to discovering that album! Happy Holidays all! Thanks JB!
December 25, 200817 yr Roine Stolt - Wall Street Voodoo Shpongle - Nothing lasts, but nothing is lost I've listened briefly to both albums and they're excellent. I was familiar with The Flower Kings, but this Roine Stolt solo album is very far from prog, it's more like 70's bluesy classic rock. The Shpongle album is very good, trippy music with some similarities to Infected Mushroom, but smoother and even weirder. Good job on your music choice Jackson!
December 25, 200817 yr Opened up my exchange gift from Reksy (after making sure it didn't smell like rotting flesh) ... I love these exchanges. I would have never picked this up and its great
December 25, 200817 yr I managed to wait until Christmas to open Riceboy's discs and I was treated to: Jake Shimabukura Walking Down Rainhill and Makaha Sons of Ni'ihau Ho'oluana The Jake is great and I look forward to hearing the Hawaiian stylings of the Makaha Sons! Thanks so much Ricey! Merry Christmas again, everybody.
December 25, 200817 yr Tyler (Sherwood) sent me: I haven't listened to it yet, I'm in the process of adding the 17 CDs I got for Christmas into iTunes now. My dad predicts that I'll love it though. Many thanks dude!

Thanks so much Ricey! Merry Christmas again, everybody. I'm so happy you are enjoying the Jake . I really, really like the Makaha Sons. I would say that is Israel's first breakout album when he was playing with the Makaha Sons until he went solo and sang "What a Wonderful World". That album has a lot of classic Hawaiian tunes on it. I am still listening to the 100 Years Jazz Guitar and Lucinda Willliams. Thanks again and Have a Merry Xmas Al
