The new one (Heliocentric) is kind of bizarre. In a good way, but not for everyone. I like it when artists experiment outside of their comfort zone, and they definitely did on this one.

Me: just finished the current (as fast as she puts them out, I can't call it new any more) Anneke, just started the new Auf der Maur/MadM. Loving both these albums a lot.

Willin' is still one of my all time fav songs.

Just listened to most of it and I like what I've heard. Textured and ambient, groovy at times, odd rhythms/syncopations and use of modes, still pretty heavy. There's a violin in it, too. If I ever get the time I'm so starting a post metal band. And there's damn well nothing wrong with "clean" 'vocals.

How was the concert?

I thought it was pretty good. Huge nostalgia trip for me since I did 99% of my Frou Frou/Imogen Heap listening in high school while dating a certain girl. Also, Imogen is the most charismatic performer I have ever seen. You cannot help but like her on stage.

Hehe, it's always a girl. And I've seen some of her live videos on youtube, she does seem like a really cool person. Can't wait to see her perform on Saturday!
