August 24, 201213 yr Author did they replace them? They did but I had to pay extra since they were more expensive to source now. Didn't have much of a choice but I'll never buy anything from them again. They were quick to shut up about me having to test the parts on arrival once I told them with a reputable seller such as Mouser or Bdent there was no need for testing.
September 2, 201213 yr Heh. Long time since I've been on the list (too much damned work), but watch Dalbani. This was the outfit that sold me the fake 2N3675's that are used in quantity in the T2. They also sold me some 2SJ79 in plastic packages (there IS NO plastic packaged 2SJ79's!) that there was absolutely no evidence of anything other than a short circuit between pins. Check back in the thread for the chaos that this caused me, and the massive collateral damage. Had to replace just about every bit of silicon in the amp. Still working flawlessly by the way, and acting as a nice bedroom heater. Craig
September 2, 201213 yr With all that is being said about Dalbani I think I will just pay the higher prices from bdent. I am going to order all the hard to get parts before they disappear. Then I can get all the easy to get parts as I have the time to work on it.
September 2, 201213 yr I bought 10 units to Dalbani... When I put the selector of the DY294 in the PNP side, all measurements are correct (BVcbo, BVceo?? I'm not sure if I made a mistake with these measurements, but I think that these NPN are fakes -- o -- Rodrigo
September 3, 201213 yr weird, never noticed that error before. the 2SA1968LS datasheet says it is PNP.
September 3, 201213 yr Yes, it is clear, with a Vcbo and Vceo of "-" 900V the 2SA1968 is a PNP. The lack of free time and to do the things with hurry lead me to committing silly mistakes Sorry.
September 3, 201213 yr Author Those look like the real deal but the 2SA1968 has such a distinctive casing that fakes are easy to spot. That's why I caught the ones I had as they looked very different so I never fire tested any of them...

September 4, 201213 yr So with a breakdown voltage of ~ 1000v in PNP, these appear to be real? I just tested mine that came from bdent and it reads almost the same (ie. 1000v+ v(br)) . My conclusion is that they are real.
September 5, 201213 yr That's good to know. Now if I only had a use for them. Has anyone verified that the 3675 from Futurlec are real. They seem to have the best pricing on them right now and I need a bunch of them for the T2.
September 5, 201213 yr I bought some units. Just haven't had the time to sit down and measure them properly. They seem to have lower hfe values compared to other batches of 3675 I bought.

December 19, 201213 yr Can I use some Holco, MRS25, Dale rn60 resistors to replace xicon resistors? I can hardly find some xicon's in Taiwan,but easily find many rn60 and mrs25.
