April 9, 201016 yr That is odd, The app app says I don't have any updates. NM - I must have already updated, I have the latest version. Edited April 9, 201016 yr by shellylh
April 11, 201016 yr Just got finished playing Plants vs. Zombies for the iPad for the first time. I will never get anything done again. Holy crap is it addictive.
April 13, 201016 yr wormhole remote is a cool app, but it's not ready for prime time yet. I've been going back and forth with the developer

April 14, 201016 yr Has anyone tried the Things for iPad app? I have been putting notes/to do lists in Notes but this looks like it might work well in keeping me organized.
April 16, 201016 yr Has anyone tried the Things for iPad app? I have been putting notes/to do lists in Notes but this looks like it might work well in keeping me organized. The two big To Do/GTD apps are Things and Omnifocus. Both are great and feature rich. I've used Things on the Mac and iPhone and both are great. Ultimately I went with Omnifocus, because it's geared more toward personal project management. Having said that, Things scales well. It's a very unassuming app at first, but pretty powerful and flexible. It seems to me that it's the kind of app that's easy to use at any level. Omnifocus has a steeper learning curve, but it too has some killer features and capabilities. Quick review of Things (pre-iPad): Things: Task Management With Style | Mac.AppStorm
April 16, 201016 yr Thanks for the review. I ended up getting Things and now I am trying to figure out how best to use it.
April 16, 201016 yr I've found with Things, the best way to use it is to put in all the stuff you need to do on Day 1, keep up with it through Day 7, and then never use it again.
April 20, 201016 yr I just bought Penultimate for writing notes. You use your finger and write the note. You can save the notes and email them. It works pretty good.

April 21, 201016 yr Thanks for the heads up about Penultimate Mike. Just downloaded it. What it really needs to be useful (for me) is color, different size erasers, ability to highlight and move things, and copy/paste. Guess I just want the ipad to have a digitizer and Windows Journal for Apple - I won't hold my breath.
April 21, 201016 yr I already have a Motion Computing LE1700 tablet pc. Don't know if I really want another Windows machine. If I could find an Illustrator alternative that I liked, I would be perfectly happy with that running Xournal on Linux. Just not too happy running Windows.

I dont think theres anything similar to illustrator (in terms of usability) as far as I know
April 21, 201016 yr I may give Inkscape another chance at some point. I think it has potential. Edit: If you were speaking of ipad Illustrator-like apps, yeah, I don't think there are any.
April 21, 201016 yr Author LiveSketch HD looks kinda cool. Also not much of a review, but if you're looking for apps in the kitchen... [url=http://dinersjournal.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/04/21/cooking-tools-ipads-epicurious-vs-bigoven/]Cooking Tools: iPad Edited April 21, 201016 yr by blessingx

April 25, 201016 yr I had actually forgotten about screen grab on the iPhone. Already learning new things as I hope to discover new apps based on people's grabs.
