  • Okay I must have missed something. What the heck is BAI? The only super low thing I can think of is Brent's Annual Income.

  • Empire Builder to replace my stolen Tumi briefcase.  Needed to switch it up to break the bad karma.  Oh, and I am going to have Jeff wire it with a self-destruct mechanism to fuck up anybody who takes

  • I could easily spend 10 BAI at Saddleback Leather Co.

Dinny pls post a bad ass photo of you posing with it in black and white (with cigar)

Dinny that bag looks great. I need to get something for when I travel, but I don't think Tumi is in the cards.

Need a new bag for 13" laptop+books for school and DSLR+1 lens without laptop when traveling.

Down to these choices:

Tenba Messenger Mini Olive

Pros: small, cheap(er) ($93), rugged, utilitarian, well built, all the pockets I need

Cons: pretty generic look

ONA Union Street

Pros: extremely high quality, looks awesome, all the pockets I need

Cons: really pricey ($269), very big (over 16" wide)

Moop Messenger #2

Pros: Looks great, rugged

Cons: Pricey ($183), no inserts (another $30-50)

Mulholland Lombard Street

Pros: Looks good, rugged, well built

Cons: Pricey ($190), no inserts (another $30-50), too metro?

Right now I'm leaning toward the Mulholland but it might be too metro. What do you guys/girls think?

Don't like the strap that looks like a preppy cloth belt, but otherwise not metro or offensive. I like the Moop #2, personally. Distinctly not metro.

Dinny, the weekender bag looks awsum. Enjoy many a fine time traveling with it. Nice wifey.

I think I'd need to either get a new strap or at least a shoulder pad.

I think it may be time for an upgrade. I like the zippered front pocket. Anyone interested in a black 13" Ristretto, old model with an Absolute strap in very good condition, let me know.

Thanks Mike and Dinny. I was lax about responding, I'm sorry. Regardless, they wouldn't fit.

I just bought a size 4 Tom Bihn Brain Cell. My plan is to use it inside my Tri Star and also carry it naked when I need to. We will see how that works.

Yeah, I saw that. It just won't fit my ugly un-hip corporate issued last years model that was wildly unpopular so let's sell them to our own employees HP Elite Book.

... and also carry it naked when I need to. We will see how that works.

Well you do live in Austin, so that won't even garner a second look.

Any suggestions for an over the shoulder that is fashionable and will protect a 15.2" fatty laptop well? I am thinking leather, but understated to go well with shirt/tie type attire.

I have been using a laptop backback that has 1/2" of padding on both sides of the laptop slot, but I need something not so student-ish
