May 27, 201016 yr What happened to the Titanus? Those are some interesting coathangers and bagel pads, though. Edit: Wut, they said the codename for the MD1 was Titanus. Then where's the 'stat that looks like a really huge Beyer?
May 27, 201016 yr Planar Magnetic and 103dB sensitivity (I wonder if mW, mV, V or watt) doesn't sound bad. They say they'll be at Canjam, so if any of you attendants can try them...
May 27, 201016 yr Planar Magnetic and 103dB sensitivity (I wonder if mW, mV, V or watt) doesn't sound bad. They say they'll be at Canjam, so if any of you attendants can try them... Wait, where does it say planar magnetic? I just see magnetodynamic. And yeah the specs are completely useless and could mean anything, and it doesn't inspire confidence when they can't even spell neodymium correctly. Or respon[c]se. And tru dat luvdunhill, I don't even know why I'm bothering to find out actual info.
May 27, 201016 yr Oh well, I really don't care very much either, but I'm quite curious if they're worth nearly half their price. Planar phones yum yum
May 27, 201016 yr Author Found it, posted it and got slammed at work immediately after posting. Pricing puts it on a par with the T1. Could not find any good info after a quick search. Yes, I'm wondering how they sound even if I'm not all that interested.
May 27, 201016 yr Having owned a rudistor amp and heard many stories... I am not particularly hopeful about the design/build quality of these things.
May 27, 201016 yr Yeah, but he built the amps himself, do you really think that's going to be a problem with these headphones?
May 27, 201016 yr Most of the Rudistor amps are in fact not built by him so yeah, quality of these will likely be crap.
May 28, 201016 yr What happened to the Titanus? Those are some interesting coathangers and bagel pads, though. Edit: Wut, they said the codename for the MD1 was Titanus. Then where's the 'stat that looks like a really huge Beyer? "Titanus" is a pretty fantastic name.
May 28, 201016 yr Sounds too much like 'tinnitus'. Or "tetanus", either way you lose. At least my "care-o-meter" will be a little higher if these are going to be at CJ...
May 28, 201016 yr tinnitus and tetanus are not how it reads in my head. You know, I didn't even think of it this way until you wrote that.
May 28, 201016 yr Ok I just need to get this out of my system: TIT-ANUS Which kinda begs the follow-up question, what is its definition?
May 29, 201016 yr I was thinking more 'tight-anus' hmm, thinking neo mags and mylar along with 60 ohmz it might well be a planar
May 30, 201016 yr I was thinking more 'tight-anus' hmm, thinking neo mags and mylar along with 60 ohmz it might well be a planar That was my assumption, but it's quite likely wrong
May 30, 201016 yr I was thinking more 'tight-anus' hmm, thinking neo mags and mylar along with 60 ohmz it might well be a planar It might be a Koss KSC-75/Porta Pro driver just as much as an ortho from the given information, and in fact more likely the former because it is Rudistor we're talking about. Also they might have read my post and tried to fix the spellings of neodymium and response! They got one of them right.
May 30, 201016 yr Maybe rudi needs a crash course on clear English so we can figure out what the fuck he's talking about.
June 2, 201016 yr No planar in that headset It's a magnetic dynamic transducer, normal speaker as all top end headphone. Regards John
