What are you drinking now, pt 2.

I've been damn curious, but I use Chartreuse in cocktails and do not drink it neat as an aperitif/digestif so I tend to think it would be a waste for me.

For me I would probably look for the 50cl bottle of the VEP... Just to have it now and then and share it around.

Signorello 2007 Syrah. There were no cool pictures of the label on the nets so I am just posting this, you get the idea. azn.gif

Decided to pick up some local brew in a can (Southern Star Buried Hatchet Stout). To my surprise, it was quite good!!! Glad to see more craft beer being produced in TX.

Start off re-trying some of the bottles I opened last weekend...

Very light dram (in color), but nice on the nose and palate

--> Pulteney 1989/16yo 43% Signatory bottling

Before I order some Griottines Morello Cherries (do I buy a lot and gift them at Christmas too)...might you please compare the Luxardo Maraschinos with them?

I find the Luxardo cherries "waxy" in texture, they have a nice flavor, and are not too sweet.

The Griottines are less sweet, a smoother, less plastic texture and the "syrup" is not as dense or sweet.

Thanks. They come in nice little gift jars too...we'll all have to try them!

The Griottines remind me of eating cherry pie.

Quite a display of power tonight Mikey! The Aviation with lime instead of lemon is very nice.

Next up, a Lot B Old Fashioned to drown my sorrows over the Rangers coming back to win in the 9th. :(

And Griottines will be my next cherries because I don't like Luxardos.

it would be real easy to drink too much of this before you know it.

Sherry does that for me....
