Apple Cider.

Now that our mulling spice of choice is no longer available, we need to either find another one or mix one ourselves. Suggestions anyone?

Manhattan and a Greenpoint. So far. In-laws just arrived for the holidays.

was invited to a Turkish restaurant for hooka...had a Newcastle...since then, I've been drinkin' an undisclosed beer...

Good luck Al. I was doing the opposite this week - lower the tolerance now for maximum effect when they arrive later. Oh hell, time for a Liberal.

Sorry, just trying to revive myself from my grading induced haze. Nighty night.

Xingu black ale

Been about 10 years since I have tried one of those.... I remember it being none-more-black

Rogue Yellow Snow IPA....it has certain notes similar to Pliny (the Elder) but not nearly as balanced; this one is a bit more bitter and piney but still a nice West-Coast IPA representation.

Saw a mention online and thought I'd try it. A 4:1 Bluecoat and Lillet Rouge martini (yes I fucking said it Jacob). Not bad but not something I'll go back to often.

the straw is the best garnish of the year... -- cheers...

Notice it is the higher end bendy straw. Only the best for me.

Chinatown Cocktail

2oz bourbon

2oz ginger liqueur

Candied ginger garnish

Very nice and not as sweet as you would think.

Moving on to the Mission District Cocktail:

2oz anejo tequila

.5oz walnut liqueur (supposed to be Frangelico hazelnut liqueur)

5 dashes Mexican chocolate bitters

lemon peel for garnish

Oddly tasty, but I want to try with Frangelico, which is a bit sweeter.
