  2. if you want a sarcastic passive aggressive summary of the the changes the first 6 minutes of this may fit the bill
  3. Godspeed, Sly.... A true innovator and one that did it with class IMHO. HS
  4. Wait, there was a Devo assisted Disney Devo 2.0 (aka Dev2.0 or DEV2.O)? When Disney Met Devo https://www.runoutnumbers.com/blog/2015/9/13/oh-no-its-devo-20-when-devo-met-disney It's all about devolution after all.
  5. Absolutely the best show I've seen this year.
  6. Yesterday
  7. Pulp you say? And arguably its greatest cover?
  8. The band split up in 2002, got back together 24 years later and made this album. Low expectations on that and pop isn't exactly my favorite genre. I'd say they not only produced a good album but hit it out of the ballpark good. Or at least a triple. ex.
  9. The black wire on the yellow looks to be the smallest too which is always what one wants for the ground. Using different color crimps makes no sense at all... I don't even have yellow in stock here.
  10. RIP Sly Stone. The word “genius” is often overused, but this guy was a true musical prodigy… at least until he cooked his brain with all the drugs he was taking. His life and the life of his band were lovingly covered in a two-parter from one of my favorite podcasts. Part One: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/a-history-of-rock-music-in-500-songs/id1437402802?i=1000658945434 Part Two: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/a-history-of-rock-music-in-500-songs/id1437402802?i=1000660854985
  11. Martha Argerich plays Beethoven - Conductor Ion Marin - ARTE Concert full of goodness.
  12. iPad stuff seems long overdue. Now we just need to be able to run desktop apps and I can ditch my old MacBook. The rest of it seems mostly like a design and polish year which, honestly after the AI debacle, is fine by me.
  13. These were the big announcements according to Apple. Remember when these were cool?
  14. So a Scottish Turducken? And to think you could have had Bacon and Whisky as well. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balmoral_chicken
  15. Chicken stuffed with haggis
  16. Sometimes things can be two things I mean, who makes a "mono" headphone amp?
  17. I thought so as well! I own two of Doug’s amps and they are so good I’ve never felt the need to shop for anything else. Love the woodwork on these ones.
  18. "AI" sorry "Apple Intelligence" count over / under ? Ironic , given their recent paper on the limits of LLM's / AI https://machinelearning.apple.com/research/illusion-of-thinking TLDR https://www.theverge.com/ai-artificial-intelligence/682693/apples-new-research-paper-says-ai-reasoning-isnt-all-its-cracked-up-to-be Ask AI to summarize paper on AI?, sure! https://www.perplexity.ai/search/summarize-the-following-articl-TFncTlcfTKSKzr_O59OjNQ#0
  19. Ok, so between 15/20 V, make it today Edit: done, works like a charm. Discovered also there's enough power to play with unbalanced inputs, later today will try it after my phono preamp. For the enclosure, I guess I'll need some bespoke heatsinks and cutting aluminum myself, the power transformer with its pot has a diameter of 130mm. Please don't suggest me Hifi2000, tough I'm Italian, they're the most expensive around 😅
  20. Picture 2: An “audio grade transformer “ didn’t care to color code the wires properly, such that the assembly tech has to attach hand-written labels to tell them apart. Maybe only the decal is custom made? Nonetheless it shows the production volume of this kit. Picture 3 and 4: It’s funny they try to use different colored quick disconnect to do dummy-proofing. Did they not know that those quick disconnects are colored differently for a reason? Pink/red for 18GA or smaller, blue for 14/16GA and yellow for 12/10GA. They used similar wire sizes regardless of the requirement of the quick disconnect, and the yellow one is apparently oversized (loose crimping). So much for a “professionally put together” kit.
  21. if you engage the servo, you'll see the output will hover around zero pretty quickly
