  2. clever huh? first time i have seen this. what it really is, is some local feedback around the current mirror. the lower impedance load forces the current source to supply more current to the drive of the output transistors. all those output transistors in parallel really form an extremely stiff drive current without global feedback. in single ended form, perfect for low impedance ribbons. and 30v/10a switchers are cheap. lot of heat however, 1.5 amp bias current. (total) i have a single ended gain stage to go with it. basically half of the balanced version with a cfa capable input section. input section can have local feedback as shown. or remove that resistor. there is a later version with the input stage cascode just like the balanced board. will publish that one in a bit. pioneera09pre.pdf

    AI

Funny:) I think for the existing AIs it is easiest to be funny than design a working circuit. There are a lots of funny people in the internet for source. How long?

    AI

i have not think it will design the circuit this AI is a chatting machine learn from all the chats from the internet. (my keyboard is bad so there will be mistakes) I read about AI circuit design it exists. But it is f*cking good from this standpoint. I think I found its main source for the circuit but the result was not the same. I was awed but I like it because I can use it not for this day to day.

    AI

AI is not yet at the stage where you should trust the answers given you. For example, I used an AI to translate an algorithm (Reverse Bits in Word by Lookup Table on this "Bit-Twiddling Hacks" page) to Rust, and the values in the lookup table that it came up with -- it had trouble converting the macros to values, plus it didn't use macros -- were wrong. Fortunately, I know Rust well enough to have vetted and corrected the answer, but I feel the same needs to be done for everything -- let it suggest to you, but don't copy and paste the answers, make sure you understand everything it's doing with its solution. That said, it can be a very powerful tool -- I used the entire translation (fraction of a second) and vetting process (an hour or two at the most) as a learning experience. I would recommend you do the same with your efforts. E.G. don't assume that the fault was yours, make sure you understand exactly what the fault was, and learn what it would take to fix it. Or if it was the AI's fault, learn what it would take to have caught it before building the circuit.
  8. Curious what's the purpose of Q1/Q24 pair? The configuration seems to improve thd noticeably.

    AI

I do not remember I ever started a topic but I am here for a decade or more. I am playing with google AI for a time and I like it. I left out chatgpt so this is new for me. I liked to think I am good to search info from the internet but this thing is so much better. Specifications, go not go situations with some equipment so much easier to resolve. I was curious I asked to design a opa548 virtual ground circuit for me ( this is why diy) and I built it. Not so complicated circuit, I built it and almost worked. The problem maybe was the messy breadboard not the AI, a pin had to be grounded to stabilize the opa. I was a software developer, supporter all my time so I know this AI something like a mirror for as so it is about as stupid as us.
  10. (waits for another Alton Brown post before posting another American Gods post)
  11. Not to put too much weight on two photographs And in Sept. (center)
  12. So sad about the Reiners..... What a legacy Rob is leaving.... RIP as well to the victims at Brown University and in Bondi Australia. I think we need aliens to come and spray the earth with "let's get along" mist. This is a fucking crazy world.....
  13. R.I.P. Meathead. He sure brought joy to my life.
  14. Alternating subjects continued. I liked American Gods as a bit of a guilty pleasure kind of show, but I'm not sure if we finished it or not.
  15. RIP the two servicemembers and one civilian in the attack in Syria the other day. (pours one out)
  16. "According to multiple sources, the couple were killed by their son Nick, and their bodies were discovered by their daughter Romy. " Oh, man, that's fucked up. Two someones are going to need a lot of therapy...I wish them both eventual peace. something something not oedipus something something
  17. As a metalhead I'm gonna say This Is Spinal Tab... May he and his wife rest in peace. They were stabbed to death in their residance. WTF?! https://abcnews.go.com/US/2-found-dead-los-angeles-home-owned-director/story?id=128403864
  18. I'm gonna go with the The Princess Bride. Saw in theaters in '86 and have watched it periodically throughout the decades. Andre the Giant said he was happiest on the set of that film. It was the one time he felt normal.
  19. Man. So many classics of his it is hard to pick a favorite. Probably Harry and Sally, but Stand by Me also right there for me.
  20. RIP Marty DiBergi...
  21. Was just reading that in the news. Pretty crazy, apparently someone disliked it way more than you.
  22. What the actual fuck? https://people.com/rob-reiner-dead-all-in-the-family-director-8653589 Just watched Spinal Tap II last night and was disappointed. But I didn't do it. ☹️

wow... intense! and awesome, looks like some fun kit Grawk *goes back to boring out a skull*
  24. Glad to see Alton Brown is back. Was a big fan of his original show.
  25. Had not made empanadas in a while. Decided that needed fixing so I defrosted some left over carnitas and that was that. Well, first I made a double batch of dough so I could make them more hand-pie sized. This was half of them.
  26. Finally getting around to American Gods, picking up where I left off (starting season 2).
