As some or many of you may know, I decided to turn a visit to last month's Rocky Mountain Audio Fest in Denver into a week-plus epic road trip through the southwest. While I certainly couldn't visit every amazing place this part of the country has to offer, that didn't stop me from trying at a breakneck pace. To my delight, I found more amazing sights than I ever could have imagined, including many excellent surprises. Here is a collection of photos from the journey. Of course, there are many more, but this felt like an appropriate representation. From Cali to Denver: Just outside an I-70 rest stop, Central Utah A chilly morning in Maroon Bells, n…

Once again this year I'm prepping to ride a century in support of the Kelly Brush Foundation. Between indoor Zwifting, the MTBs, and the upgraded Canyon this spring I'm creeping up on 3,000 miles in preparation this year and will surpass that mark before the event. Once again this year it'll be an in-person ride up in VT, with friends mostly coming from near-by so we should have a strong crew of 8 with some riding the 50 and most doing the full 100 miles. For me this is the 11th century that I've done in support of either Northeast Passage or Kelly Brush and I'm looking forward to enjoying it and hoping that our trend of good weather continues. So the mission remain…

One of my close friend's companies was nominated for a "Green Log Award". You can go to go greenlogawards.com/nominees-2008/cabinetry/ (to vote) And check out Young's Furniture. They're a really great group of people. I've known him for ten years and him and his dad have put a lot of work into the company. He's a pretty selfless guy, and they've done countless things to give back to the community. Just as an example- one of their older employees was diagnosed with throat cancer and the founder of the company (my friend's dad) is continuing to provide for him and his family and has promised to help out financially long after this gentleman has passed on. This sort of ge…

Probably doesn't hop on here too much, but wanted to wish Dave L. a Happy Birthday. He is constantly trying to round up troops to get to meets, and is an all-around great guy. So Happy Birthday, good sir!

Hi Guys, Hope you don’t mind me asking this question, but just maybe you will be glad you did someday. I want to create a balancing or tuning process that helps produce an audio component that is of the very best quality. I’m thinking of cables or maybe speakers or something, any ideas? My background is in the production of bespoke machines and systems for high-tech products (automation, test & inspection). I have been working on testing RF amps for a few years, but this was for satellites and I would love to get into high-end consumer audio products. I’m not an audio expert but I can work to specs and automate iterative processes to optimise product performa…
