I forgot to order the fusedrawer for a DD12.9111.1111 shurter IEC inlet. The part number I'm looking for is 4301.1405 Does anyone have one of these fusedrawers they don't need right now? Hallo Thar, I was just wondering whether you guys think it would be worth it to build a Sigma 11 PSU for my M3 (currently I have teh steps). I know that the Sig11 can supply more current and has tighter regulation, but would it make an audible difference?

I recently picked up a wireless charger for my phone that works well aside from the annoying inductor whine. I was thinking of dropping some hot glue on it to dampen the noise, but thought maybe folks here might have a better suggestion of what to use. Any suggestions on a better damping material than hot glue? Thanks

Hasy anyone used the silver plated copper wire from navships on ebay? I just picked up 10 ft of shielded 3 conductor 24 AWG stranded SPC. I'm going to use it as hookup wire and maybe balanced interconnects. Has anyone had any experiences with it?

I ran across somewhat of a datasheet here: http://www.datasheets360.com/part/detail/92pu01/3582415256795608549/?alternatePartManufacturerId=0 It looks like a Fairchild KSD882Y might come close? Or could I use anything capable of a bit of power (such as MPSW06/56)? It would seem that an Ic of 2A on the 92PU01 is pretty high for what might be required here?

hello people, i wanna build myself a decent headphone amp. so i thought maybe of building a supra. it uses 3 6sn7 or 6 (if you wanna do it balanced) did anyone do this before ? what are the costs ? does anyone has the schematics ? does anyone know a better amp for that price ? i know it is otl, and some are for otl, some are for trannies. i just don't know what i'm up to. i would use it on a akg 701 which i still have to buy. i need help guys, thanx a lot

I'm looking for something small to put in my garage for blowing dust around, airing up tires, and perhaps using a small air tool with (finish nailer or something). Small and maintenance free would be nice. I've seen a couple pancakes by Husky and noticed that now Woodcraft sells a Woodriver unit that is relatively cheap. Budget is <$150. I've looked occasionally on Craigslist for something used, but nothing that is at all "new" has popped up... recommendations?

Hello My little amplifier for my Stax headphones. First stage is based on ECC82. One triode per channel as cathodyne phase inverter. The second stage is 6N1P-EW with CCS, and power stage is with E80CC with CCS too. It was designed to work with my PC to drive Lambda Pro. So output voltage is not so big 308 V peak-peak, but it is enough for Lambda Pro.

Power is obviously higher than dynalo mk2，but But the temperature is high too.

I don't know what's going on, but my solder just isn't flowing. It's Wonder Solder 0.031" and I tried every temperature from 390F to 800F, it melts but just blobs on the iron and stuff. I was able to desolder some previously connected wires, but I can't tin my new ones. I'm thinking the solder is bad (I bought this new since I used up the last batch of Wonder Solder I had is used up) but any other insight is appreciated. I'd really like to get going on these projects I've had on hold for too long.

was trying to re-wire the left driver of my ad700's, when the actual tiny copper solder tab lifted off the base of the driver... I still have it, but how the hell do i put it back??? It is the bottom left solder tab on the left driver (ground). Have i completely screwed my cans or is it fixable. Any advice greatly appreciated!

I need to get a better soldering iron than the one I currently have and was wondering if there are any opinions of the Weller WP35. It looks like a decent iron and is in the price range I can afford. A full electronically controlled station is too costly so this looked ideal for me. If you know of a better iron at around the same price (no higher) please advise.

I use the soldering iron a couple times a year, either for DIY cables or to repair a circuit board. Based on the recommendations I've read here, I'm deciding between (prices are CAD): Weller WLC100 - $60 Weller WES51 - $110 Hakko 936 - $115 For light work, is the WLC100 good enough? From what I can tell the WLC100 and WES51 use different tips, and the WLC100 has some rudimentary temperature control (I think) while the WES51 and Hakko have much better T-control. I've been thinking about upgrading to a better soldering station. I am just a hobbyst so the tool is mostly for DIY work. I started out wanting to limit my budget to $200 US. As always the case, once I started reading stuff on the web, I am more and more tempted by those that are way over my budget. Right now, I am looking seriously at: 1. A JBC CD-1BD for around $400 2. So, I have 4 X Beta 22 Amp board kit + 2 X Sigma 22 Power Supply kit from Glass Jar Audio in a two HI-FI2000 slim line 2U case with aluminum top and base plate. My idea is to use 100mA quiescent current to keep the temperature a bit lower, but should I drill holes to those base plates? Would it actually help to keep those temperatures lower with those covers? Or should I just order more vented custom aluminum covers from Modushop? Cases: Top and base plate:

I have some Grado Aluminum headset blocks that I got from the guy in Malaysia. I've been trying to find someone who will do a small job like this but have been unsuccessful so far. I would like to get R and L milled into them with the square border areound the letters like on the Factory plastic blocks. Anybody have any suggestion for someone who would do something like this?
