I haven't noticed the existence of any Manitoba head-casers besides myself, but in case it's relevant to anyone here, there is a meet this Sunday (ie. in three days) in Winnipeg at 2 pm. Anyone up for a New England meet at my place (just outside Concord, NH)? I'm free any weekend in June. First priority to try and accommodate JBLoudG20 since he's bringing my amp. I guess we can go from there. I have quite a bit of gear, all the electrostat stuff listed in my sig.

Cinci sucks but we're having a meet there anyways

Not really sure where to put this, so mods please move it wherever it needs to go. I just caught wind of this thing called the San Diego Record Show on Saturday July 25th. According to yelp and some other sources, they sell records for cheap, including hard to find ones. While I'm not a vinyl guy, I can probably stop buy if there are records people are looking for. Post away with impressions and pics. As usual, for me, it was more about the folks than the gear. But I did accomplish what I set out to do re gear: compare the O2 mk2 to the O2 mk1. Great to see friends old and new.

A heads-up for those in the San Francisco area, The Burning Amp Festival, featuring Nelson Pass, Siegfried Linkwitz and lots of other cool guys. It should be one hell of a treat for anyone in the area who can make it, lots of cool stuff and there'll probably be enough tech talk to make your head spin. It's a great chance to hang out, listen to great gear, and learn more things in one day than you ever thought possible.

Would there be any interest in getting a meet up and running? Would be willing to travel to Columbus if easier for all. Seems like a lot of Ohio heads just waiting for a music party. This area seems to be taboo since the whole Mikey1 party got pissed on. Really would like to hear some serious rigs to know in what direction to continue my home hp project. Seattle Spring meet: 3.22.08!!! I like the numerology of it (3*2) +2=8. The next two meets should be doozies. Spring will begin our push to get more vendor participation, and at least one summer meet will be hosted by Gil who is donating his garage space and two-barrel barbecue. So March...June...September...December...and maybe more. Hey guys, I'm planning to buy my first pair of "serious" headphones soon. And from what I've read/been told, I should respect people's opinions, but I should ultimately try any phones I'm considering personally in person. So I was wondering if there were any Head-fi people from the 50th state, Hawaii. I'm located on Oahu, Chinatown area. Is anyone out there willing to allow me to sample some of their gear? So far I'hve only planned to buy ceap KSC 75 and JVC Marshmallows to have a good portable and IEM. To see if I can handle walking around with something sticking in my ears. I'm tired of having to buy cans (or con canadians into shipping me new RS-1's) to be able to listen to different things. I know there have been get togethers in TN before, but none I've ever been able to make it to. I nominate Chattanooga. Not only b/c I live here, but its 2 hours or less from Nashville, Knoxville, Cookeville, and Atlanta. If there's anyone around the area, let me know, it could be interesting... **BRENT**
