  1. I've finished building a KGST and it sounds amazing. Much thanks to the Stax Mafia for an awesome design and making all of this possible, Headinclouds for the group buy, and everyone here for your help and assistance! So I gave one of the two KGSTs I was building as a wedding gift to a friend who just so happens to be a photographer and he gave me in return some pictures of it. I'm still finishing up the other one but here is the finished one. The rest of the photos are here: http://adhikariphoto.smugmug.com/Portraits/KGST/n-9GZfc/

  2. Sorry. I feel mentally ready to retire too, but I'll have to wait and wait, and then keep working a bit more. Five to eight years sounds like a lot, but you know as well as I do that time flies, so in no time we'll be cheering you for your retirement. Just keep healthy to enjoy it

  3. Pixel > Tidal Web App > Cast Tab in Chrome > Chromecast Works like a charm. I have no way of knowing if its futzing with the sample rate other than my ears, but at first listen it sounds great. Good snap and crack, good depth to the sound, no compression muddiness. Success!

  4. Well said Antonio! And many of us are in that same boat....especially with the downturns in the market over time nailing 401K's, IRA's, and the like. Not that it makes you feel any better, other than plenty of people sharing your misery.

  7. Hah, I hadn't noticed that. All I noticed was that Brent was not on either list, so all is right with the world again.

  8. Watched a couple more episodes of The Knick and will probably watch the rest. Still have to avert my eyes from the gory surgeries but otherwise entertaining.

  9. This is Interesting Tidal seems to use the same Global Identifiers ( accessible by the share / by email copyable link) e.g Artist Alison Krauss. = tidalhifi.com/artist/6602 Album New Favorite by Alison Krauss. = tidalhifi.com/album/3044220 Track New Favorite by Alison Krauss. = tidalhifi.com/track/3044233 and as seen before entities are different for a UK and a US account as an example , playable on UK Account, not on US Account Paper Airplane by Alison Krauss http://tidalhifi.com/album/6043300 I've a couple of days overlap for a UK registered account and a US one, so have a few days window for further exploration as time allows and have accessed both via the Web interface and the (windows) Desktop App, from the US, so will explore further, but its late now so will leave you with the following UK Account desktop App US Account desktop App

  12. Some nice ideas with the enclosure, makes me wonder how much of the R&D budget is going towards case engineering and by wonder I mean assume it's 100%

  15. After moving several months ago, the things I haven't been able to find are my cameras and backup hard drives. Been driving me crazy. So today retraced my steps and I went through each of the remaining 40ish boxes for the third time. Four boxes from the end I found them in a box labeled in big letters "Cameras & HDDs."
