  1. First sous vide meal. As good as the steak was, the potatoes stole the show. The garlic taste was all over with none of the garlic visible. Simply fantastic.

  2. What's the best day of the year? New bike day! Some assembly required. Have to go finish the assembly when the LBS opens tomorrow, but the excitement level was the highest I have seen in years! We'll be taking a ride tomorrow, when it warms up a little. This is going to be an awesome year of riding. **BRENT**

  3. Picked it up a short while ago. Initial thoughts....it's a lot bigger than I thought it would be. My pot is a lot smaller than I thought it was. It is plenty big for a couple of steaks and veggies. The sound it makes when turned on is the coolest. Too late to cook anything tonight but steaks for lunch tomorrow

  7. Very sad. Eco's books were never an easy read, with many layers of meaning (try Foucault's Pendulum) but always worth reading and then re-reading. Eco himself said that he probably wrote for masochists.

  11. I seem to remember something like this in Minority Report,.. Anyway, maybe this will keep archivists from having to copy everything over and over. 12. We hit 60° today but with winds steady in the high 20s and gusts up to 50, 12 miles felt like 40.

  13. Marshland in front of the Lincoln Memorial, near the Potomac River, in 1917. Work is underway to turn this site into the 2,000-foot-long reflecting pool. Jakobshorn, Davos, Switzerland

  14. I think we also need to know whether that is a 12 hour clock or a 24 hour clock. Musical Fidelity is always nice. They have amps from toebreakers to the petite ones like the XT100 or the X150.
