  1. RIP the cops who were shot in the line of duty in Dallas last night and all the folks whose deaths were being protested. And fuck those who believe that you can't or shouldn't sympathize with both!

  5. I'd love the help I'll PM you. Edit: It will have a chassis ground. I've got a couple of ideas. Here's some renderings I did of the chassis. Pretty cool...
  6. Ok. I need to add labels, but otherwise I think I've got this where I want it to be. I changed out the power switch for a thinner one and change the power led to a through hole. Also, I went back to a 4 pin XLR jack for the output. Since I also have a 1/4" phono jack, this should not be an issue. I've also added additional patterns for the +/- regulators from ebay as well as standup heatsinks for them. I don't have a specific chassis identified, but the FPE custom enclosures will work. I'll likely mill mine myself. Any other thoughts?

Saw some really great things tonight in the Lakers Pels game. Looks like they learned more in one week with Luke Walton than all of last year with Byron Scott. D'angelo, Larry Nance, Ingram, and Zubac looking beastly. Will be interesting to see them measure up against the Timberwolves in even a year or two.

The great thing about this team is that even when Curry, Thompson, KD and Green are not all on the floor at the same time, they will still be extremely difficult to defend. So ya, hard not to get steamrolled. But the other good thing about KD's presence is it will allow for freer substitutions, which then also gives the guys on the court their moments to shine or take over. You see that already with Curry/Thompson. The minute one is resting, the other lights it up. Even without the need to feed the egos of individuals, it's always nice to "get yours" at some point during a game. If Kerr manages the rotations properly, they should just roll over pretty much everyone. I don't "remember" either, but the '27 Yankees comes to mind in terms of the spread of weapons, offensive, defensive, pitching, everything, and by all accounts they weren't unexciting! They drew sellout and SRO crowds everywhere they went. So I don't see this as bad for the sport necessarily.

  17. I've been meaning to get to this for the last year or so. I was motivated to see if I could get this down in size The current board is 4.8" x 6.8" and is an all in one. Everything from power inlet to outputs. I still have a few things I'd like to get to, including having an option for the regulators to be off-board as well. I'm using some Mean Well switchers at 24V for the +/- rails then using the TPS7A4700 / TPS7A33 for a second stage regulation down to +/- 20V. These regulators have 4uV / 16uV noise respectively (not bad). There's a switch in front that allows you to change between SE and Balanced inputs via some relays. Here are some pics of where it stands so far...
