IT WORKS!!!!! All the LEDs light up with power supply set to +18V/-18V. Right channel on the TRS is 70mV and left channel is 190mV. Temperature is a cool 140f without the heatsinks. now we know what happens when you install CCS LEDs backwards.

Milled this today – negative regulator. Shot by USB camera approximately magnitude 20. Using a 15th end mill, minimum clearance between pads, traces etc. is 16th. There are 5 vias 12th and they actually hit the bottom pads quite accurate. CNC machine is a fantastic gadget

Ehhh, something sounds very wrong... the mini shouldn't load that supply that much, and it shouldn't be running that hot. Even with the PSU being plugged into the offboard reg holes, the onboard regs are still in circuit, with no easily removed component to isolate the amp channels from them (short of cutting traces). I would carefully go over the board, making sure that everything is in the right place and correctly oriented, and no solder bridges that you can see. You might also post some good pics of both sides of the board at sufficient resolution and maybe one of us might spot something.

Did this today. Positive golden reference regulator. I managed to make a Kerry device in my kitchen but I think he is pushing the envelope now. I’ll try to make negative regulator as well and if this succeeds I’ll put them in a T2 PSU. Dark picture so you can see the small red LEDs on the board. Hope the small GRLV hit the market soon.

It was such a rollercoaster... on the 8th I bought and listened to the new album. I thought it was one of the five best of his career. Having no idea of his health status, I even hoped that he would tour as I had seen him many times, but Debbie had not. And then the 10th. And he was gone. From feeling so high to feeling so low. A lot of music has been important in my life. None more than his. Happy Birthday and Goodbye again David. The music will never go away.
