  1. Been doing some testing using the Audio-GD as the dac... I've tripped the protection circuit on the CarbonX and the CTH just died when plugging in headphones. Returns for Massdrop will be super fun on this one...
  2. I'm with you on Saul. BB is probably the superior series for most but I enjoyed Saul more. It has a lot of charm for what it is.
  3. Waaat? I loved first season of Better Call Saul. Such a unique atmosphere and even lighting great to that show with interesting and unique dialog and situations. Was engulfed in that show but it's not for everyone. It's a prequel to breaking bad? Sent from my LG-LS998 using Tapatalk
  4. Jessica Jones season 2 ...drinking whisky
  5. This is the schematic. As for your other questions, look at the golden reference LV thread and the "And now for something completely different" thread. That thread devolves into discussion of two or more amps. As far as build threads, there aren't any, nor are there guides, etc. You have to read the threads and take your best guess on some things. Kevin retired from Northwestern University, so none of those links work. 6. It's about 15W continuous. Yeah, that might work. This is an R-core though so I could have cut a hole and fitted the bracket underneath the chassis but in the end two washers did the trick. It's really hard to get HV transformers which don't suck and are less than 40mm tall...
  7. You can cut a hole in the bottom plate under the PT and then add a small plate underneath to fill the gap. It will add the thickness of the plate to the interior which appears to be about enough, and it will be hidden.
  8. ^^^ I did likewise this morning, helping the neighbor clear his driveway. Thankfully I had a spare.
  9. I signed a lease on a house in San Rafael this afternoon. I'm excited... I've never had my own house before. Since college I've lived in a series of apartments. I still can't quite wrap my head around the fact that I'm not going to be sharing walls with anyone anymore.
  10. I have no problem with this as long as it is explicitly stated that is not a final product and this is effectively testing. Then it's on a fully informed consumer to take that on if they feel the price is fair. I have an issue when companies release a "finished" product when it really isn't and then use early adopters to test before releasing an updated or v2 shortly after. That imo is fraudulent, and way too much of it has been happening.
  11. 1 point
Of course, Steve uses a two-handed sword instead of a foil or epee.
  12. i've going through it 2-3 times. afterwards you can also watch the BB movie someone made by editing down the series. And the Better Call Saul prequel which will be back on TV soon
  13. Been binge watching Breaking Bad. No idea why I missed it originally, so I bought the boxed set. Currently working my way through season 5. Bloody awesome, I can completely understand why Bryan Cranston won awards for his portrayal of Walter White.
  14. broke a shear pin on my monster snow blower
