Finished The Amber Spyglass, the final book of the Golden Compass series. Overall the series was an enjoyable read. Not something I'd necessarily recommend, but enjoyable nevertheless.
The third book went in a religious/cosmological direction I think the author maybe though was profound, but the themes and implications didn't really hit for me.
I think I'm going to skip the HBO series. To do this series justice you'd need an insane budget for CG and production, and even then I'm not sure it would add much to my enjoyment after having read through the books.
I can make an adapter no problem. I'd just have to dig mine out from storage and look at the pinout. I know I bought some extra sockets for these when I made my adapter.
Just finished The Coldest Game which I enjoyed now starting Dark. So far so good and it helps me try to keep up my German which has degraded over the years. Thanks for the lead.
I just found out that chipotle peppers are jalapeƱos, smoked and dried. Not only that, but a lot of them have two names!

Obviously, a new singer, new album. So, I figured I'd listen on Quboz, hear a few power chords from a past their prime band, get bored, and move on.
Well, no power chords on this album. All of the songs are mellow, acoustic, and frankly, pretty enjoyable. I've never really been into Stone Temple Pilots, but this may as well be another band with another name. A definite feeling of brooding throughout the album.
Totally dig that Wucan. Going to be listening to their albums on repeat over the next couple days.
Right now, listening to a 20-artist dark ambient collaboration:
@knuckledragger @ironbut anyone who believes there's no such thing as too many samples.
