  1. Construction is done, stretchers installed. The bottom stretcher strengthens the bottom shelf, strengthens the side structures from racking and stops the albums from being placed too far in the shelf. The top stretcher just helps with racking. Bottom of the butcher block top has recesses milled for the isolation feet. The isolation feet are the only connection between the base and the top. Top of the butcher block is stained, and the base has the first coat of Amber shellac. And leveling feet installed. The last picture of the base is right side up. Last thing to build is a riser for my motor pod. 3 3/4" tall.
  2. Luckily for Steve, my new Woodpeckers Drill Press Pro table arrived right before he started the Colossus Counter project. It made the dowel holes a breeze, with no measuring. The fence and the fence tracks are marked in inch and metric markings, there are two flip stops, the fence is hollow and attaches to a shop vac, and those knuckle clamps are going to be helpful. The sides extend to 36" total and there is a drawer underneath. Good stuff. I'm seriously considering the Woodpeckers router table Super Fence, but I am not certain it is as big of an improvement.
  3. That is fucking sexy, so much red.... I am getting dangerously close to being able to build a box, just need to hire Milo & Otis Consulting, LLP to come and show me how to use everything.
  4. That looks fantastic. You are going to be able to fit a ton of Parasound Z Series products in that thing. Are the stretchers the rods in the side? Is the motor pod going to be on a separate support structure hence the need for a riser?
  5. Aligned up my fence. Close enough for me. Put together a cross cut sled. Square to .00022 per inch.
  6. Smells Like Teen Spirit in a major key It's kind of weird, and gets even more when played at 1.25x or 1.5 speed.
  7. Hopefully they just need to close it better. It might need some fiber patch to strengthen the muscular wall. Nothing serious 🤞

Best deal I have seen on Mics, B&H has the CAD E100s for $299. So much better than the mics you guys all just bought. :-)
  9. ^^^ Groooooooaaaaaaaannnnnn Jose: hope things work out OK for you, sorry you even have to go through this (again). And sorry to hear of your tire woes, Fitz. I miss having a car with a full-size spare, those donut spares are a PITA. And no rim damage I hope(?)....
  10. Amazing and wonderful!
  11. I really liked the Woodpecker Drill Press Pro. It just made repetitive work a breeze. Seems quite solidly built, well thought out and the integrated dust collection is a no brainer.
  12. Hopefully they employ better stitching technique this time. While having coffee this morning a friend stopped by. I have slow camera fingers otherwise I could have caught him with his head poking out of the waves for a better picture.
  13. Bloody hell Jose - I had no idea you were going through all this. As Tice says - fingers firmly crossed.
  14. Fingers crossed for the best outcome!
  15. The more you look at the replays of his escape, the more you realize how many lucky breaks led to his survival. On Grosjean's YT page there is a picture of him smiling from his hospital bed. I called him The Miracle Baby in the comments.

Western Electric 46-A theater amplifier in 707-A Control Rack. Collecting WE theater gear is as expensive as this hobby gets. BTW, I have files on WE data. If anyone is interested I'll upload it and make it available.
  17. OMG what a race. I'm glad there are no casualties. I won't say more not to spoil the fun of those not watching it live.
  18. Unsurprisingly, it's always Bacon O'Clock
  19. More Coffee Cake with appropriate accompaniment.
  20. Covid style lunch at the Marshall Store. Brought our own camp chairs and table. Fish and chorizo stew, Kilpatrick and Rockefeller oysters, and byo-beer. Delicious, breezy, and beautiful. I'm certainly thankful.
  21. So youtube thinks I like f1 now... so binging This is impressive precession driving with pit input.

Being there, doing that...... EDIT: and the remedy just arrived!
  23. Went to go pull out of the driveway this morning, and was greeted by a horrible sensation from my cars front end. One of the tires had gone flat and even unseated itself from the rim. I was overdue for new tires anyways, so I have an appointment tomorrow to get them taken care of. Fortunately the donut spare seems fine, so I can make it there without much hassle.
  24. The seroma and the inflammation that I suffered after the intervention for a month could weaken the internal sutures. Although I had an ultrasound in February and everything seemed fine. Tomorrow they will tell me something else. Probably have another ultrasound but they still have to have my "belly button" (ombligo ¿?) reconstructed so I must have surgery.
  25. Thank you guys. Really I'm not worried about the surgery, but I'm pretty upset. This year Alex starts at our cycling school and I will not be able to accompany him.
  26. Visit my doctor. After a year, the wound in my abdomen has not closed ... wait, what? I have not trained with my team, I have not participated in the few races we have had, I have done shitty kilometers this year ... I have made no effort! Tomorrow they will give me an appointment to have surgery again. F**K
