  1. The White Lotus soundtrack. Soothing tracks like WTF! and Fuck This Place!

  2. Unless you know for certain, I'm almost sure that's an engineered flooring. Which means you have about 1/4" of solid wood, with intergrainular plys beneath that. The problem is matching up that stain. I would recommend you call in a good flooring installer to repair and stain match. It won't be very expensive, and will get you the best results. You do not want to take a sander to that floor! The hand hewn texture will be completely fucked up if you do. Call in a professional. That's not always my advice, but in this circumstance it is.

  3. Lorde - Solar Power I was pretty disappointed. I'm not surprised to see there is a growing backlash to Jack Antonoff-produced records. Perfectly nice person, but I really don't like his sound. Jack Antonoff, Polarizing Nice Guy | Pitchfork

  4. Peak 80s right here. That's ~$1.5M. Never have I been so personally attacked. #ImagesYouCanHear You're actually happier if you don't get this one.

  5. I think I know who that was. And it is not someone on this list or associated with it. I mentioned the 2sk208-GR to him by email, and he told me he had previously bought 3,000 of them, before I even mailed him. By the way, TI have just introduced a low-noise n-channel JFET, the JFE150 (0.8nV/root Hz, and 1/f corner at 10Hz) https://www.ti.com/product/JFE150 . Apparently this is just the first in a series they are planning, with n-channel monolithic duals (apparently imminent), and possible p-channel versions. They are quite serious about the audio market, with a superb and growing portfolio of audio op-amps. Unlike On-Semi; don't start me on that soap box....

No retention, consistent grind. If it went fine enough for espresso it'd be perfect, but I'm happy with my niche for that.

  7. Well, go with the switch rating then, relative to your intended usage. What exactly does the data sheet say, and what are you planning to install the switch in? I use a locking anti-vandal switch rated for 250V @ 3A for mains power switching duties in a couple of pieces of gear. They are running on 120V, draw about 0.25A steady-state, and are behind 1A fuses. Rating exceeds operating conditions, part is good to use.

  8. It was one of those hot summer days, when too much grilled chicken is never enough. Bird on the left is just a dry rub for the little one who won't eat spicy food. Bird on the right was marinated in medium Nando's sauce overnight. All cooked at 390F for about an hour in the pellet grill, with lots of basting in more Nando's sauce during cooking. It was damn delicious. But it was still not quite Nando's.

  9. I’ve used something similar with one of my headphones for a while now. It’s been OK. Yes, it’s not double insulated and it’s not as soft as the Koss cable.

  11. The Leftovers I'm so glad I gave this show a second chance. It is magnificent. The first four to five episodes are a slog. Don't be discouraged. It takes the show a while to find its footing. The premise is weird and the characters start out unlikable. Stick with it though! Two things I think are done exceptionally well here are showing you plot events that won't be explained until many episodes down the line and the use of music to really drive the big emotional moments. The show is by no means unique in doing these things, I just think they do them fantastically well. The show also doesn't overstay its welcome. Ending it after the third season was perfect.

  13. Just picked up Lance at LAX returning from his short visit with friends in Italy. He comes bearing gifts- Note one was lost to the assholes in customs and their sloppy methods of inspecting luggage for weapons, human trafficking and drugs.
