  1. You'd probably be more drawn to "Custard's Last Stand" made entirely of flan.

  2. Minus the one joke entry, I have done all but two of these.

  3. I distrust the government in a way only a government employee can, and I grew up in a very pro gun rights environment. I enjoy gun sports, own and shoot them for fun, and love taking friends out to shoot who come from places where that would never be an option. Those are my bona fides, which only matter when I say that we need to just do this right and repeal the second amendment entirely. We haven't had a new amendment since 1992, though admittedly that one took over 200 years to ratify, so I think it's high time.

  4. Just finished the first three episodes - a good distraction for today. I have to say really well done overall. There are a few weak spots, but really good production value, and I have appreciated the writing so far. I am looking forward to watching more of the series. {unless it turns to poop and I drop it like its hot}

  8. Coffee is NATO plot to indoctrinate Russian people with Western ideology. We reject this "coffee". Big Brother Putin will instead supply Victory Vodka. With apologies to George Orwell.

  9. Thanks everyrone! (Well, almost everyone ) Luckily for me, the trainer 1) has some very sturdy legs/platform and 2) hasn't gotten here yet, so I don't have to worry til at least the weekend. For now, I'm just going to continue being old and keep popping pain pills and muscle relaxers to get me through the day. Woo hoo! Don't you love being old vintage?

  10. Ended up getting the Lenovo Thinkpad P1 with 32GB RAM and the Nvidia RTX A3000 6GB GPU. Paid for overnight shipping so it should be here soon! Thanks for all the help.

  11. A small bottle of sample I took from a local college friend, the ingredients included ATO powder with a particle size of 20-30nm, some surfactant, and the rest was some kind of alcohol solution. I was told to mix extra anhydrous alcohol at a ratio of 1:3 to dilute it for coating, but I didn't dilute it, just sprayed it on the sponge to apply the stretched film, and there were some traces of liquid on the surface of the film after drying , it looks the same as the hifiman's. that shangri la jr driver was later used as a test driver for testing different thicknesses of films.

  13. So I am having lunch with a Whisky buddy the other day and he mentions that he was listening to one of our whisky friends in Europe's album. Album? Lars' has an album, Lars is in a band? I have not met Lars in person yet, just international zoom meetings to talk about important stuff (like whisky). This is how I picture Lars (long beard) ... {and yes, I probably could name a lot of the whiskies by the back of the bottles} I looked him up on TIDAL - Hey there he is, now that is legit. So... This Boy Lars Nyborg 2020 https://album.link/i/1529237508 Example: He has a few actual videos as well, but it is distracting for me to see him sing. Overall, I enjoyed the album. I am biased because I know him. And how he does all that and be shitcanned on scotch, is beyond me.

  14. Watched the first episode of the new Star Trek series last night: Strange New Worlds. Overall I liked it a lot and feel that it has the potential to be right up there with TNG. The coolness & quality outweighed the occasional eye rolls, IMO. It had that Roddenberry feel that has been missing for a long time and I really like almost all of the cast members, especially the Big 3. I also liked all of the Easter Eggish tie-ins with the original series, pretty cool for an old Trekkie like me.

  15. The first of the sawstop patents expires this month. The others over the next few years. So competitors will exist before too long. I made a turtle pond.

  19. Yeow. RIP to Vangelis, a man in need of exactly zero introduction. There's no way I could even begin to sum up his career, impact (or, ahem, collection of synthesizers) so I'm just gonna say this: When I did my Saturnine mix 2009, I included his song Ask The Mountain with Stina Nordenstam ‎on vocals:
