Welp. I scuttled the entire setlist I spent this week putting together (~85 to 90something BPM) so I can work in a deep house track with Julee Cruise on vocals (which is a breakneck 116BPM.)

^^ I really like the acoustics on that one. Fun on headphones. I just finished listening to a couple of songbirds new to me. I guess I like these two enough, but is it just because they sound like other singers that I love? I guess I will see if I listen to more of their stuff.

I'm adding a few images of the TT kit on my old car. It went through a lot of iterations power adder wise, but this was by far the most efficient and powerful. It was a PITA to change oil... The turbo kit was literally my K-member...the plumbing took place of the stock one. In the square piping facing the reader you'll see two hose ends...that's the oiling box. Really slick kit. You can see how much is going on. Even the frame had to be notched on the passenger side to clear the turbo which wasn't small but it was huge either. Compromises... HS

The top plate is fine but the bottom panel is raised a bit to fit the transformer inside. Nobody could make the necessary transformer smaller than 40mm in height so this one had to be squeezed in at 42mm so the bottom is raised up a bit. It was annoying but yeah, nothing I could so short of mounting the transformer on the outside which could cost far more in the end. This amp will drive any Stax sets out there but it was never designed for the 007's in mind. Think of it as an upgraded 353X but in a much crazier chassis. On a side note, the natural light up here just sucks for taking photo's... I was actually just trying to install more lights in that room to make it easier.

I hear you on dealer/appointment troubles. I've had a lug nut (technically a lug stud) stuck on the BMW for the last two weeks. The previous shop installed them to what I'd guess was well north of 200ft-lbs of torque. I got 19 of 20 off with only minor problems using an 18" breaker bar and a 3' extension. The 20th, it's still on there and no amount of heat or other method will loosen it. It's now well and truly stripped. Yesterday's adventure was to heat it as hot as I dared and drive a 16mm socket on it (it's a 17mm head) and let it cool for more than an hour. Still wouldn't budge. So I tried JB welding a socket on. Nope, the glue broke before the socket moved. So now I wait over a week to get a tire shop to look at it and probably spend several hundred dollars having it drilled out or who knows? Maybe I just trade the car in...
