  2. I thought that I'd post some impressions to this thread now that the gs-x mini is in the wild. I have serial #3. This is a fantastic headphone amp. Here is a few pros and cons, off the cuff: Likes: 1. Outstanding parts and build quality. Fit and finish are exceptional. Aesthetics are often a matter of personal preference, but I have to admit i find the look of the Mini to be dead sexy. 2. Functionally this amp is very versatile. The built in pre-amp feature works well. Conversion of SE sources to balanced output is quite handy. And then it powers just about any headphone

  7. The all new midengine Corvette Stingray was introduced yesterday. Set to go on sale next year with a “base price under $60K”. 495hp naturally aspirated V8. 8 speed dual clutch automatic transmission only. 0-60mph in under 3 seconds. Hope they get the QC worked out on this. The Caddy ATS-V I bought in 2016 was a lemon that the factory bought back.

  10. Happy Claire was happy and needed a short nap following the 3.5 hour lunch and a little buzzed shopping. Adam--yes, we are heading south on Tuesday and we will see two stages of the Tour in and near Pau. The last time we went to the Tour was Lance Armstrong's seventh "win"

  11. Today we had probably the most delicious and certainly the most expensive lunch of our lives at the two Michelin star restaurant at Bernard Magrez's La Grand Maison. Before we ordered anything, five or six plates containing at least seven amuse bouches arrived, along with suggested order of consumption. I got distracted and forgot to photograph them. We went for the six course lunch with wine pairings. Dessert was actually five different desserts each followed by two more treats to amuse our bouches.
