The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.

Has anyone here used LensRentals.com before? As you may or may not know, we got bed bugs this year and aren't sure they are gone yet. There is probably very little chance they are in the lens and camera but I don't really want to take a chance and take it to my parents house for Christmas. So I was thinking of renting a camera and lens for 3-4 days (with picked up locally or shipped to my parents house in Fontana, CA). This would also give the added benefit of trying out a FF camera to see if I want to go that way or not. I am not sure if I can find a place to rent locally so I was thinking of having something shipped there. LensRentals.com seems to be a reputable place so I was wondering if anyone had used them and what they thought. I was thinking of renting the D610 and Nikon 35 f/1.4 (unless there is another lens that would be better for mostly indoors photos). The other option is that I buy a D7100 (which is what I am leaning towards since I don't think I want to go down the FF road and but good FF lenses) and have it shipped to my parents. I guess I can buy another 35mm f/1.8G or 50mm f/1.8D and then just sell it for a small loss. I think that 50mm f/1.8 would be too long for indoor photos. The other option is that I can borrow my friend's 18-55 kit lens for free but I think that wouldn't be the best lens for indoors. -
It shouldn't matter when they bill you/insurance company, only the date of service should matter. So you shouldn't have to pay your deductible again. Of course, if you have PT or follow up appointments, you will have to continue to pay since they will have a different service date. Also beware of bills that the hospital may send you saying that certain things weren't paid by the insurance and now you are responsible for them. You may not be responsible for them.

I started off the season with a worse record than the Texans (1-4). Somehow my crappy team still managed to make it into third place with a record of 7-5-1, even with that damn tie against Bryan in week 7! It helped that Brady started playing football at some point in the season. Oh, any thanks to Alshon Jefferey this week.

Those look awesome!

That is a nice looking pie.

Not really a turkey fan so we are having jambalaya, braised short ribs, rotisserie chicken and sides. I better start cooking.

Happy Birthday Bryan!

Based on what I have read, if I were in your position, I would get the SRM-323s. Accoding the Spritzer the little amp 252s is very good and cheap but I believe it has a wall wart which might bother you. If you are interested in buying one new, Justin/Headamp sells them cheaper than Elusive Disk (same price as Yama) and ships fast. http://www.headamp.com/order/index.htm

Ha, that's assuming I want to sell...
-
OK, doesn't sound like there is any reason to get the 207 then.
-
Oops, yeah, in Houston. I guess I didn't think about whether you'd be interested in hearing it. Maybe I just like to mess with you. Nah, just getting old and forgetful.

Cheese is back! I was thinking about this thread.

Birgir (and others): What is your thought on 207 vs 404LE and 323S vs 252S? I have a 404LE at home and have thought about getting a 323S or 252S to use with it for the office. Also, is the 207 better, worse or just different than the 404LE? I know you like the 207 quite a bit. Also curious about the comfort level of 207 vs 404LE. Do they use a different headband? The 404LE have leather earpads which should probably help with comfort.

Awesome Mike!!!

Sure, they won't pay that much though. There will probably be more bills, usually doctors and hospitals bill separately, and then there is the anesthesiologist...

Simply thrilling Grahame!

Figured out how to wire it up (the wires go straight across, not crossed). Got the Dremel tool out and cut apart the HD580 drivers. Not the smoothest cut but it'll do I think. Now I just need to wire it up. That will have to wait for another day though.

That's my guess. Use it to make fresh grenadine! Edit: Jim just beat me to it.

Seems you are right Ric. Perhaps I should take a better look at the OS then. I wonder if Amazon will view Netflix as enough of a threat to kill the Netflix app on the amazon App Store...

Hmm, the Kindle Fire HDX looks pretty nice. I wonder if I should wait to see if there are any Black Friday deals before buying.

I didn't realize that it was different now. I tried one of the original Kindle Fires and the UI was horrible. I became quickly frustrated even doing simple tasks. I might take a look at them now that the OS is different. There have been many reports of the touchscreen not responding to touches on the screen and many other things. The newest update to Android seems to have fixed most of the problems but there are people who still have problems even after the update. I just don't want to deal with that. http://www.gottabemobile.com/2013/11/17/nexus-7-2013-android-4-4-kitkat-first-impressions/ I was also looking at the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.
