The 2nd generation Core processors may be worth a look: Intel BOXDH67CFB3 - $129.99 mini-ITX H67 Motherboard Intel Core i3-2100T 35W 2nd Gen Core i3 A better performance 35W model does exist, but I can't find that one in stock anywhere. This should be a fairly cool running machine, with a good amount of performance. For virtualization purposes the i3-2100T does have VT-x, but not VT-d.

At those interface speeds, you're mostly limited to the speed of the drive. I'd check the drive's stated read/write speed (not the interface speed) to see what you should realistically expect.

I just skimmed through the mega-thread on Head-fi and it seems that Parrots has a very similar attitude as that nwavguy person. Lots of huffing and puffing with personal attacks all in the name of revealing the truth.

I'm still not sure what sort of context warrants those types of disparaging comments. Funny enough, nwavguy claims he's been censored by amb since he's been banned on the amb forums: That post where he called out Tyll was definitely surprising

I think someone repeating the test would be ideal, but that's unlikely to happen. I do find the amb.org forum discussion somewhat entertaining. It's like watching a train wreck in progress, the breakdown in communication was simply inevitable.

I always made sure I didn't need to go anywhere to buy anything during golden week, the crowds were simply ridiculous.
