Speaking of scary virii... found these today.

The last GS1Ks I picked up were for $600. Almost made them worthwhile (though required tube matching to punch the midrange). Agree with your comments. GS1Ks are problematic like K1Ks are problematic. Both can sing though. Wish the PS1Ks were under $1K. Current price is a bit crazy with the competition.

As we're mentioning other phones... I know they don't get much love here, but the RS1s nicely compliment the HF2s within the Grado-acoustic/small band world (rarely listen to arena rock). Doubt I'd own a pair of RS1s if I didn't have HF2s around, if that makes any sense? RS1s become a 'lighter' signature tweek to more successful HF2s when Grado-time hits (have only heard the PS1s sound balanced a couple times - usually a bit bottom heavy). Course not that Grado-time is ever about finesse. Both phones don't get a ton of head time, but glad they're around.

Just saw the MBA in the flesh myself. That 11" is cute.

Damn, missed the pancake lens change. Finding both the body and old lens on sale anywhere near the old package deal might be difficult. So the LX5 has a faster lens now (though obviously sensor size differences play a part in light/speed).

Sorry to hear the 4070s are disappointing Shelly. I'm not sure if it's the amps, musical tastes, trait focus or 4070 versus JH13 fit issues (returned mine four times), but I've found the opposite result. The weirdest thing about this is I'm beginning to think I have the lowest opinion of the JH13s around here, even though I think they're pretty great. Just not K1000/4070/HD800/and above great. And of course they're the most practical and may end up being my only closed cans.

Okay couple other points I should have posted earlier. Solid state with tube gain. Was in a Zana Deux case as a stop gab, but likely eventually less wide, slightly longer and more stack friendly (possibly tubes recessed with portals). And most exciting, besides how well it performed for the few tests I threw at it, he's trying to bring it in near $1K.

LCD-2s arrived today at work. Quick question - If the left side slides up and down with far less resistance than the right, will tightening the side screw help?
