What a great system that looks like, nice work!

Just got an email that my NuWave was picked up by FedEx. Crossing the country via Ground, so not here until after Thanksgiving most likely, too bad.....

Wow, not fun stuff Shelly, glad it wasn't you..... We celebrated Diwali at work today, we have a large contingent of Indian workers. They (and/or spouses) made a ton of homemade food, many came dressed in traditional garb, and we had a nice 2 hour celebration. Was pretty stunning overall!

Hostess is closing down..... http://xfinity.comcast.net/articles/finance/20121116/US.Hostess.End.of.the.Road/?cid=hero_media_bos It kind of makes me sad that I went through life and never actually tried a Ho-Ho. Need to find one just for nostalgia.

Just found out today that surgery was good for an old friend (and current FB friend, though I haven't seen him in MANY years). He had some vertigo issues, and they found fluid and a tumor on his brain. Fluid removed yesterday, surgery today, and it's NOT cancerous! He's in recovery.....so very thankful, and realize how quickly life can turn around.....

Happy Birthday Dinny!

Yesterday we went up to NH to visit some friends who bought and are working on a small place by a lake. The weather was stunningly nice, and this was the scene off their balcony (sorry, so-so iphone pic)....a real nice relaxing day.

Sorry to hear that Vicki, take good care of it.....

Just got back from seeing Janis Ian at a local small coffeehouse....absolutely AMAZING woman! Several of my favorite bands have a certain passion that defines their performances. And this woman was so full of spunk, passion, heart, and humor. The songs she sang and stories she told kept us rapt and going through all emotions all night....

Heal well and fast Vicki! Too bad you weren't able to get all those insults in....

May the drinks be plenty and taste the best ever.... Happy Birthday gents!

Just got Todd's TTVJ newsletter, some info in it on vinyl selling. The good news is the sale, the bad news is he'll no longer carry vinyl!

The Black Diamond looks pretty interesting Doug, looking forward to more results!

This is good advice IMO, and what I did. I'm down to 3 very good DAC's for main systems: NAD M51, Neko D-100 Mk II, and the coming NuWave. One small desktop DAC for work, the Micromega MyDAC. I also have a UDAC 1, UDAC 2 HP, & HDP from Nuforce; and an Audio Engine D1; the smaller non-powered ones I can use for travel. But even those extras will be cut down a bit, or more likely lent out to friends. I think i peaked at about 12-13 DAC's at my worst. You just can't use that many, they end up sitting around collecting dust. I can at leats say all my nicer DAC's (the first 4) are in use in various systems.....

My trade-in said it arrived yesterday, no further word yet....

Going to vote this afternoon. Looking forward to the Marijuana Question Nate, sorry to hear of the water troubles, hope all is OK now; we've been there with our water heater....twice! Also, if you don't end up keeping the HD-600's, I'll gladly take them! And BTW, if you want to try a NITB Grado SR-225i with the Torpedo, you're welcome to anytime, I'm not currently using them.

^^^ My son had his last game today, Dan, also in lovely cold weather. He scored a goal, but they ended up losing. Tied until about 4 minutes left, then lack of subs and ovetired kids allowed 3 goals....tough way to end, but a good coach and nice teammates. BTW, I got the shirt, thanks. I may have to wear it to some other Bruins-related event if they don't start playing hockey! Fuck!

Ah, I see that, and that would likely explain the $50 deal..... Don't see on the Pioneer web site what the "re-engineered" process did....similar looking drivers, 6-component cross-over.....different grills for sure......
-
Dusty you're probably right....juyst saw they have them on sale, but for $85 with free shipping...... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?nm_mc=AFC-TechBargains&cm_mmc=AFC-TechBargains-_-NA-_-NA-_-NA&Item=N82E16882117406

Yup, $50 for the pair. But only when they had the sale....if you can wait, I'm sure they'll go again in November as Black Friday approaches (unless the prior sales were a stock-clearing mechanism).

Great news! Glad he is in good hands, and will soon have a nice full stomach!
