  1. Excellent news, Nate, now for some nightly sleep! And happy 1st to Libby, Haj! Me: went with family to a nice seaside town in MA, Newburyport. They always have a nice festival for Memorial Day, with food, shopping, and entertainment. Then went further on to Plum Island for a short beach visit. Back home to paperwork and bills, but now relaxing.
  2. Despite the very low score, one heck of a game! And yes, Vancouver is going to be super tough. Bruins played them very well during regular season, but they (Van) seemed to have brought their game up another major notch for the playoffs. But the Bruins still have a good chance if they play their best. Go B's!

^^^ I'd buy that ONLY if the back says "He doesn't give a shit" (none of the "doesn't care" crap)
  4. Congrats, Al! And prep for a nice NYC vacation for yourself....maybe 3 weeks will be a good amount of time
  5. Spent the day today helping my son and his friend on their "Mitzvah Project" (good deed when becoming a Bar-Mitzvah). They had helped organize and host a drive for the Gift of Life, a bone marrow registry organization. We got over 75 people to register, worked with some amazingly wonderful volunteers, and the kids learned some valuable life lessaons today. A truly great experience! Better news is that we'll be doing another one in July.
  6. Belated Birthday wishes here too, hope it was great!
  7. Late to the congratulations, but all the best Nate! Andrew is a great name, if my son (Andrew) may say so
  8. An American Standard Cadet 3 Flowise Round toilet.....our 26 year old one was shitting the bed....so to speak
  9. Missed the game 7 between Wings and Sharks, sorry to see one of them lose though! From what i saw, it was one of the more enjoyable series I've seen.... I hope the Bruins can do something against the Lightning. They seem to be a fairly complete team, and the Bruins' best 2-way forward is out with injury. Maybe Seguin will shine a bit, but they need the extra defensive capability, not to mention the incredible face-off win %, that Bergeron brings....TB has some amazing firepower!
  10. Good stuff Nate! Hope it works well. If you still are interested in the Focal's, touch base with the guys at Fidelis in Derry (Walter (owner) and Bill), I think they used to carry that Sib/Cub (?) sub/sat system....since they moved from Salem to Derry, though, I'm not sure they still do. But might be worth a query....
  11. I look at the Sharks and Red Wings play, it's great hockey to see! Haven't seen enough of the playoff-version of the Lightning, but I'd worry about any team going against the winner of this series....
  12. Have eXtremely Happy Birthday's gents!
  13. Way to make lemonade, Vicki! Drove back from NJ today, left Glen Rock (Bergen County) at 2:15, stuck in some traffic around Tappan Zee bridge. Made one rest stop for 10-15 minutes, dropped my niece off near Harvard in Cambridge, and was back home near the NH line by 7:00. My wife said she was glad she wasn't paying attention to my flyin...uhhmm....driving.
  14. Happy Birthday Purk! Hope you enjoy(ed)!
  15. Sat on route 95 today....literally. We were stopped in traffic due to an accident on Rt 95 south in New York. No traffic northbound side as well. People started shutting off their cars, getting out, stretching, chatting with each other.... And then folks started standing/sitting/lying on the northbound side and getting pictures. This is my son doing the "Highway Luge."
  16. Incredible news. Connecting a few dots, I hope that with the recent announcement that Americans should leave Syria, that something is really being done to cut off the major funding and organization at the head. And also agree, smart move on the quick burial at sea, for the reasons stated above. If he was kept alive, there could have been many attempts to kidnap and trade, threats to others to get him freed, etc. (even if the chance of us freeing him was nil, they would have a ton of ambition to try). This limits the options, and while there will certainly be reprisals, they will hopefully be short-lived, amateur, and well-thwarted. Even though I'm not a big Obama fan (or of any politicians recently, really), hats off to him and the people he has working this, as well as the intelligence and Seals and others who have been doing this all along. VERY well done IMO, and it makes me very happy and proud.
  17. Hmm, I didn't think so..... But yeah, ref work in both Bruins series has been pretty questionable. What I REALLY don't like is the extra bit of after-the-play work that they are doing on David Krejci. A clear blindside-from-behind hit not called, and then there was a replay of another one where he was cross-checked, held, then punched all after he got rid of the puck. Then, two missed high sticks, one hiting Lucic, one Briere..... I just hope the Bruins can keep this up. Laviolette is a great coach, he'll have the Flyers playing better......
