  9. Second day in Sydney, lovely city this is. We're very close to the Harbor....when we got here, we took a walk down to the harbor and looked through a nice local market at an area called the Rocks. Got some absolutely amazing licorice there, the maker is a fucking genius at bringing some of the most unexpected ingredients together to make a delicious treat. Then got a distant pic of the Opera House (we'll tour it later), but some big-ass thing was in the way. Today, we did a hop-on-hop-off tour of the city, stopped in a few places including Bondi Beach, Chinatown, several market areas, and then I walked back to the hotel while Karen is still shopping Lot of walking, but enjoying this a lot!
  10. Hmmm, lost all track of her since she was in Helium back in the day....need to research and listen..... For some reason, I had it in my head that she worked with 10,000 Maniacs for a tiny bit after Natalie Merchant left, but I don't see any reference to that (not that I looked hard).
  11. And I'm sure Alex gets licensing/royalty revenue, while assuming none of the risk (quality, repairs, etc.) anymore....
  12. Happy Birthday!!
  13. Happy Birthday!
  14. Definitely a bit odd, and sad. I assume they will keep their other markets (phones, etc.) in China domestic market (?)...... As good as they were, maybe they NEEDED the volume they didn't have to best maintain their operating model. They certainly packed a lot into a decent-priced device.
  15. Oh, fuck, the Easter Cookies (and the words) are so bad....but so good.....
  16. Happy Birthday!
  17. Congrat TMoney! I like the angles of the ceiling, especially into the hall where it keeps the angles....
  18. RIP Frank. He also did intros to movies regularly IIRC. I think my wife was on the Bozo show once..... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  19. Went to a small vinyl show/sale today, hosted by a store in the top floor of an old mill in Lowell MA. Place wasn't laid out super well, but they had maybe 8-10 vendors/people selling viny (as well as the ability to walk in the store as well; the vendors lined the hallways and an open area near the store). A bit of the usual populace was there, older men like me who love to talk music. A pleasantly surprising number of women, several of whom seemed to know their stuff. But I'd say 60-70% were pure hipster.....sorry, but your clothes, haircuts including several man-buns and thick beards are just annoying, as is your habit to take your time in front of many bins and talk to your friends while others are waiting. But overall a decent show, prices weren't too outrageous but likely bumped up some for them hipsters. Came back with about 1/2 a dozen pieces of vinyl. My favorite catch was a Germs 10" called Cat's Clause, and the down-memory-lane discussion I had with the seller about alt & punk bands from "the day"
  20. Thanks Jon, just pinged him to see about getting one.....can't resist, nice deals.....
  21. ^^^ That's awesome, I've always liked the Hypex/NCore sounds from amps I've had or heard!
  22. Was in the mood for Curmudgeon-Rock. The Fall, A-Sides.
  23. ^^^ I'd take rain right now, definitely. The worst of the next storm will be a bit South of me (Boston and South, into Connecticut and Rhode Island), but Nate and I are in the 3-6" band according to one newscast. Up to 10" elsewhere....lovely.
  24. Very Happy Birthday Al!!
  25. My company had done some 2008 to 2012 migrations before i started there so i had heard, but I have also heard 2003 was a different enough animal that I'm not sure it would be any help. Found this link, though: https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/canitpro/2014/04/01/step-by-step-active-directory-migration-from-windows-server-2003-to-windows-server-2012-r2/
