If nothing else it'll be interesting to see what Sennheiser has coming out the next few years. Jude certainly hints at there being something coming out that he seems pretty excited about. An actual successor to the HD800/S would be a good place to start. If they were smart they'd also cut down on the line up, they have way too many products.

You might want to look at the NAS options from Qnap & Synology that have space for using SSD's as cache drives. That's becoming more common and can be a nice little performance boost.

Sure they can be driven by most amps pretty easily. Typically I'd recommend something like an OTL tube amp for them.

Mojave has 32-bit support it's only Catalina that went 64-bit only. I doubt you need a 2T external drive, 1T is more than enough and you definitely want to go with an SSD. Unfortunately you will have to start looking into replacements for any of your 32-bit apps that haven't been updated. Mojave is end-of-life with Apple and isn't going to get any further updates and means it won't be supported by most apps going forward either.

Drop makes it pretty clear that you can cancel and get a refund at anytime before shipment. No real risk to end-users here. I wonder if the Drop HD58X & HD6XX ended up hurting them? No doubt they are hugely successful products for Drop but how much did they help Senn's bottom line? I can't imagine they sold many 580/600/650's after those came out. I think the 800/800S were successful for them but they have alot more competition at that end of the market these days. It also probably didn't help that both the 660S and 820 were largely failures and not very well regarded.

It's interesting to me that they apparently didn't do very well in 2020. While it was a shit year on the whole, it was actually a very good year for most consumer audio companies. I hope they manage to stick around and release an actual successor to the HD800S.

For them replace 'O2' with anything made by 'Topping' otherwise it's basically the same thing.

I haven't heard the Diana v2 and it seems it's the measurements of those over on ASR that started this? I think Amir at ASR is a d-bag to highest degree and I'd trust Jude's measurements over his any day of the week. For those that know the history we've had with Jude that should tell you something. The SBAF thread linked above by @Jon L about ASR does a nice job of covering Amir and his behavior so I'll refrain from piling on here. There's no doubt JPS cable prices are bonkers as are most 'audiophile' cables. It's easy enough to laugh at the prices and move on, if people want to waste their money on them they are more than welcome to do so. I've been enjoying my Abyss 1266 TC (w/ stock cable ) and consider them the best phones I've owned.
