    The Chicago Code

Yeah, I'm pissed that the assholes at Fox cut this and Lie to Me. And kept such tripe as Glee, Family Values (think that is the name of it) and a bunch of other worthless shit. I think my Fox watching will be down to House and Fringe this fall. Maybe a good thing...
  2. Done.
  3. Barring any other comments, yes, it should divide the voltage across the two caps. That is what the 300K resistors are for, to ensure that it is divided.
  4. Congrats on the new baby boy Nate!
  5. I hope you aren't one of those fuckers that I almost run over on my bike on a path cuz they can't hear shit happening around them and don't hear me telling them to stay in the right lane I would never consider listening to anything (IEMs, whatever) when riding.I realize this is an audio site, so this may not be the most popular opinion, but...
  6. Congrats Bryan! And whoa... big move Jim
  7. Thanks all! Definitely Ryan! (and Bryan) Never been there, you say its in Lisle? Yes, I'll need to get down there sometime this summer...
  8. Well, Mahler was about as late romantic period as you can get, so I suppose one could view his music as being somewhat emo. One doing so would, of course, be wrong I can see as a woodwind player, seated in front of the brass section, that Mahler might not be a favorite to perform...
  9. Don't care for Mahler? FFFuuuuuuuuu Well, the 5th isn't a favorite. BTW, anyone heard from Posty since the tornadoes (thread reminded me of him, since he often posts concerts)?
  10. John (or anyone else who uses one of these): Do you use anything under the pads to protect the paint on the car?
  11. You mean the 30th Anniv. Edition (2003)? 30th Anniv. Ed. Guess that must be it... it is a hybrid, but not unreasonably priced.
  12. If I wanted to buy a redbook version of DSOTM, what would you all recommend? Even though I grew up in that era, I was never into PF. I do have the 30th Anniversary edition vinyl from acoustic sounds, but don't have the TT setup right now, and need a phono stage to do so anyhow since I got rid of the counterpoint pre.
  13. Saris Bones bike rack for der car And a pair of Continental Gatorskin tires for my 2nd set of wheels:

  20. By centering drill, do you mean something like this? My link
  21. I drilled and tapped my Pessante heatsinks with just a drill press and hand taps. Blind bores, used a bottom tap. Not perfectly straight (didn't use the 1" block of metal suggested by Kevin above... good tip). Didn't break any taps on 3 mounting holes (for the angle brackets) per sink. Would probably want a better method for more holes such as what I guess you are talking about, but if you take your time and work carefully, it could probably be done.
  22. I put mine away back in Feb. and haven't touched it since. I was waiting to see if Marc got his going or had some input but haven't seen or heard anything since then.
  23. Happy Birthday!
  24. Yes, hats off to all military and intelligence folks, both past and present, and especially to the Seals and military who went in on this. I personally am glad we are spared the circus that a capture and trial would have most certainly presented. It would have probably put more people in danger and eventually led to more or less the same thing (dead).
  25. Texas Components shows up to 125K in Z-foil audio SMT (2506 or 2512 package). Their thru-hole go up to 600K in the largest package. Texas Components ASMP Texas Components Z-foil axial
